Hope this is allowed! I'm writing a short story about a superhero having to deal with getting care from the American healthcare system, specifically a greedy insurance company. I'd like to keep this realistic, so I'd love to hear a variety of personal experiences dealing with this stuff, especially if it deals with experimental medicine or prosthetics (but all stories are welcome and appreciated!)

My atheist roommate asked me while we were both getting breakfast this morning if they could ask me a 'sh*tty theological question.' I said yes, thinking it would be a joke question. Then they hit me up with the question in the title!!

Because it was first thing in the morning, I attempted a half-hearted answer and then told them I'd get back to them after I did some research and had at least two more cups of coffee in my system, haha.

So I'm curious, how would you all respond?

(My poor attempt at an answer was basically that he hopes we'll all choose him, but that free will means we'll always have a choice to reject him. They then pointed out that "but he already knows the future and what people will choose" and "if you give a child a knife, it's still your fault when someone gets accidentally stabbed.")

My friends were streaming Cult of the Lamb tonight, and I managed to join as a follower. However, on their very first crusade after that, they encountered an enemy that summoned my follower to attack them, and they were forced to kill me.

They already chose the funeral ritual instead of the resurrection ritual, so I can't be resurrected. I found the article about revoking extension access and then granting it back, but I tried multiple times, even refreshing my browser and going into incognito mode, and it didn't work. The article is from four years ago, so I'm guessing that workaround has been "fixed"?

Does anyone have any other workarounds? It really stinks that I only got to be in their cult for like five minutes. :(
