headlight lock out

does anybody know a way around this headlight lockout by Florida statute I have to have my headlights on whenever the windshield wipers are, but because the windshield wipers aren’t traveling fast enough it won’t turn on the automatic headlights and I can’t override the stupid button… heard from Googlr this is due to GM software, seeing as I don’t want a ticket and I actually wanna see when it’s just a little cloudy out anybody know how to turn the headlights on when the headlights are locked out or away around this stupid lockout?

Edit: Seems this is an Android 12 issue with the ‘24s going to call my dealer and get it updated…updated the post for anyone else

In 5-10yrs the High Speed Charging Network in the US will exceed the Gas Station Capacity

This morning I saw at my local Wawa IONNA Chargers going in, We know Walmart is rolling out Charging to their stores. The other networks are also slowly expanding, I think within 5-10yrs there will be no excuse/reason to continue making the 'where are you going to charge' jokes that is already pretty much died out. What do you think the excuse will be then?

Standard Range or Extended Range

Looking at purchasing a 'new to me' Silverado I currently drive a Prologue *cough* Blazer EV *cough* so looking at the LT as I know that tends to have Supercruise. Longest I usually drive is 100-175mi one way on our second car otherwise it's a driveway Princess(it's approaching end of life with me struggling to justify putting another 5k into it). Need it mostly for my yardwork, camping, and kiddo's travel hockey. Would you for that recommend mostly going for a Standard Range? Just wondering as reading the forum not sure on what I should expect 'real world' Honestly I was hoping someone would have a mid-size(something akin to a Colorado) EV Truck by now but here we are...

Leaning Standard Range, but I'm really unsure due to the longer trips I do have

Thoughts?

Just noticed having this issue and dropping a few leaves…not all are affected and it’s not necessarily the new leaves, some of it is salt burn from overfertilizing but that this is still occurring is mildly concerning(all leaves affected were young/new when I had issue with moisture locking it out of some of it’s nutrients)

Just want to make sure the hive thinks this isn’t a larger issue..I have sprayed for bugs/fungus recently, I checked the bottom of leaves it doesn’t look like miners

Reading the books made me realize just how much Netflix made up

Changing people from male to female, order of events, straight up making stuff up…Currently finishing ‘Killing Pablo’ and finished ‘El Narco’

Honestly the books are much more interesting and dynamic than the show ever could be, I understand some stuff needs to be changed to better fit a show and Netflix/Hollywood is notoriously bad with History(Looking at you Jarl Estrid Haakon suddenly becoming a black woman) but I thought Narcos somehow was slightly more accurate.

That being said the shows are still entertaining, and I need a rec for the next book I grab.

Overwatered emergency repot?

My cutting was overwatered 2 days ago (kiddo tossed in ice cubes) after a day I got the meter showing a 5-7(only 1/4 of pot was a 7 rest was 5-6)…I not have 2 fans on the pot trying to get the moisture level down even further asap.

today I checked and it’s all a 5-6, do I get a small terracotta pot and emergency repot? Trying to save this as all my other cuttings have died :-/

Silly Thing but anyway to change navigation voice?

I followed a normal path of changing the Google Assistant voice for my phone and I know from the Doc that is supposed to change the voice for navigation and it has for the app, but I’m just wondering how to change the turn by turn navigation voice while using the cars builtin Google…I just absolutely hate the standard voice, find it easier to understand/pay attention to a different accent.

Update: OK, so I dived deeper because I was sitting during PI planning and bored… apparently Google hardcoded voices in android auto OS… so you can’t change your voice from the default. can change all you want on your android auto on your phone to get separate voices. You cannot change it to fun or different accents directly on the prologue, apparently they did this to avoid distractions and save space…

Convince me For/Against this re: 1k mi roadtrip

Ok here's the scenario and I wanted to put it up to the hive mind, we have a road trip(Tampa, FL to Myrtle Beach, SC) with the kids. The Prologue AWD we own is in better shape, and has more convenience features for our trip (with the exception of Supercruise like our van). Cost estimates with getting a Tesla Adapter are about 60$ cheaper with the EV at 4.75/gal, but charging time adds about 1.5hr to our trip. Leaving at 1300 this would put me in Myrtle about midnight-sh or 2200 with our van. Never gone this distance before, using ABRP and google maps I should be able to do this on 2 with a top up 3rd stop. With the van it'd be about the same amount of stops.

Would you do this? Or no? I'm leaning towards yes, but the unknown is getting me. I do have a Tesla adapter I bought off Amazon for 80$ but have only used once on our previous EV.

Edit: This is mostly Flat Terrain, but with AC usage I was being relatively conservative with adding a 3rd stop. I set Cruise at 76mph, and draft truckers when possible. I'm 90% sure doing this due to the age/condition of my other vehicle, not too mention the cost savings without using the Tesla Adapter over fuel costs :-)

What can I do to prevent sun stress next time? 9 Central FL

My MIB was sun stressed badly (still alive i scratch tested yesterday) and I took it under shade when I realized it. But I was just thinking when she comes back in a week or so with growth, how best do I acclimate it to the Central FL Sun?

This past go round I put it outside 30min additional every couple of days and forgot 1 day so it got an extra hour of sun. My LSU Purple cuttings meanwhile are pushing a ridiculous amount of growth, MIB being a slow boujie punk.
