Conan L'Explorateur, by L. Sprague de Camp and Lin Carter (1983).
The artist is not credited but I believe it's Jean-Michel Nicollet. Painting Conan with his eyes closed was a choice.

I'm looking for a prehistoric book. I've narrowed it down to these two. I like stories that are smaller scale, characters just trying to survive the day rather than grand scale fate of the world epics.
My favourite authors are Robin Hobb, Terry Pratchett, GRRM. I tend to shy away from authors like Isaac Asimov, though I do respect that he is a brilliant author, but for the aforementioned reason; I'm more about the small scale story.
Happy to hear what you think? Have you read either of these? What are your opinions?
Thanks in advance!
