Permanent ear modifications that won’t heal themselves away without maintenance?

I’ve always wanted piercings but I’m struggling with chronic fatigue and forgetfulness so I’m sure they would close up fairly quickly due to me not wanting/remembering to get up and maintain them every day. Are there any permanent ear modifications? I’ve seen something like elf ears on here before, so I was wondering if there was anything else that was permanent and looked cool, my ears are large and boring I really want to customize them, ideas super appreciated⭐️

EDITT; it’s not the healing process I’m concerned with, I meant more of something that once it’s healed I don’t have to do any special maintenance or wear jewelry in it for the rest of my life to prevent anything from closing up. Sorry for wording it poorly⭐️

How can I DIY a mattress for less than $200 but have it still be comfortable enough for my arthritis?

Said arthritis is making it impossible to work at the moment let alone earn enough for something decent, and my current one is extremely uncomfortable and leaking fiberglass all over the place, adding to my discomfort. I was curious if there’s a way to stack enough mattress toppers together that would make something sturdy enough or if I need to get really crafty like super hands on DIY. I don’t want a regular fiberglass mattress after this because expensive and my anxiety will spiral if I have to sleep on something that could leak shards of glass one day. I know it’s not an entirely sound fear but fears seldom are.

TLDR; need a sturdy but comfortable cheap alternative to a mattress

Electric sleep paralysis?

Curious if anyone else has experienced something like this with fibro, my pcp said if I wasn’t completely unconscious and shitting myself then it’s not a seizure so it can only be fibro but I’ve never seen anyone else have this happen on here. God, where to even start.

I kept getting this buzzy feeling in my nerves as I was trying to sleep, and once I did, that electric pulsing pain in my entire body kept increasing, causing me to have a dream so lucid that I thought I was awake and kept reaching out to my family for help, only to “wake up” in another lucid dream, trying to find help while the pain and pulsing of said pain increased. In my final dream I was paralyzed on the floor unable to move or talk, stuck for a very long time before the pulsing turned into feeling like electricity was being poured into my nervous system. I awoke to sleep paralysis at that point, pretty convinced I was gonna die. I eventually shook myself awake and the sensation slowly faded.

I’m terrified of it being a fibromyalgia symptom, but if it is I need guidance rn because I’m so goddamn shaken up and sleep deprived that I cannot think straight. I’ve messaged my pcp and rheumatologist and am waiting to hear from them on Monday hopefully. If anyone relates, any advice on how to handle this or how to deal with the trauma and fear of going to bed after something like that? Putting more pillows under my head seemed to help last night I’m hoping it works this time too

Did any med improve your mouth pain?

Not sure if it’s a universal fibro experience but GOD is my mouth sensitive to the point where a regular dentist appointment has traumatized me. I have recently been on Pregabalin and it’s helping with other pain but I am scared it won’t make the dentist appointment any easier and I’ve been putting off scheduling it😭 god, even flossing hurts sometimes

I also want to get a tongue split in the future but I’ve heard it hurts like a motherfucker and I already get depressed from the pain of biting my lip 3 times in a row.

Have any of you noticed an improvement for mouth sensitivity with any medications? At what point could you tell it was helping with that specifically? And why tf do mouth numbing meds not work at all?

Food advice

I’m beginning to think I can’t eat beef, but it’s the primary ingredient of my go to easy lunch. I know I can (or rather should) just make something in advance for the bad days but if I have bad weeks/months I don’t know what easy healthy food I can have as backup. I’m also just, really uneducated with food. If it’s not a microwaved piece of crap, is easy no prep food possible? I’m eating trail mix for breakfast lately and don’t know what else to do

Fence breakers and water walkers

I’ve noticed some of my horses break fence, some can walk on water, and some can do both. I’m unable to do my control areas for certain species if there’s always going to be some that traverse both fence and canals.

When I copy and paste a horse gene I see 40 lines of jumbled letters, do any of those dictate if they can do these things? I need to create obedient horses lmao

VERY new to this diagnosis, I need.. some(any) advice

I’ve been battling arthritis for years adn this fibro diagnosis feels out of nowhere? But? Makes sense in a way that still doesn’t really feel..,real. But also feels like my doctors are giving up on finding the REAL cause? I used to think fibromyalgia was something people got diagnosed with simply because their doctors can’t figure it out. So new diagnosis + new concept of an illness entirely kinda got my brain frozen.

Is this why I’m so tired and cold? And so wobbly? And so hungry? And tired? Yet can’t sleep easily? Why my skin feels so dry and itchy? Why I’m always so uncomfortable whenever I feel any kind of sensation? Why I can’t do complex tasks anymore without my brain and body melting into agony? Why I can’t think or remember? Or feel emotions very well? Is this really things you guys can relate to? Is it something that can be easily managed so that I can at least feel comfortable some day? Did any of you ever get a med or treatment that helped with cognitive impairment specifically(my very very worst symptom)?

I don’t know if this is wrong place to ask, I am in too much brain hurt to make the 3 billion doctors appointments to get 35% of my questions answered in the next few months. I can type a few words, and hope a good hopes. To hear some good news or even to get told the gist of what I canexpext going forward.
