I Heart The 80's Tarot by Christy Plummer Reynosa

I backed the I ❤️ The 80's Tarot on Kickstarter and it came in today. I cannot even describe how delightful it is to me. I was ages 2-11 during the 80's so needless to say its a whole big dopamine hit of nostalgia. Some of the cards are in your face obvious and some have little details that are more easy to overlook. On top of all that 80's fun, it's got lovely linen finish on a standard thinner stock so the snap on a riffle and bridge is very satisfying but feels like it will hold up through the years. I would consider edging this in some fun neon colors, but ohh my goodness, look at these fans. 👀🥰 10/10 Would buy again.

Fun in the Sun - Clouds

I live in Florida, with a yard that's predominantly sand. Laying in the grass is a dangerous proposition unless you know with 100% certainty that there are no fire ants nearby. So I changed this goal a little bit to just spending time cloud watching. Here's a Vulture, Godzilla, & upside down ghosty saying, "Boo."

Aorathian Shadow Architecture

I got Robin's ( u/AORATHIAN ) Aorathian Oracle to play with for myself and really like it from what I've looked at so far. The very first card I pulled actually fell in line with a tarot reading I had from somebody else earlier today so apparently its bossing me around right out the gate, 2 of Swords with Reframe the Problem. 😅

Even though the cardstock in this initial "artisanal" run was thinner, 300 GSM, its a poker size deck so it will be fine for personal use. Its definitely not the flimsiest I've had in my hands. It just isn't the lux quality people expect out of indie decks now days. If I end up starting to really use it heavily, I'll buy a second copy when the upgraded print run comes in. The size makes it perfect for smaller and less dextrous hands for riffling. It also hand over hand shuffles smoothly.

Additionally, I appreciate the larger contrasting print size in the physical guidebook. My eyes aren't what they used to be so I really dig how easy it is to read. Its not too wordy but what is there feels very deep so I would definitely recommend getting both the deck and guidebook.

I'm really glad Robin shared the deck here and I am glad I scooped it up. Also LOVE my print. That was a delightful surprise. 🧙‍♀️🏠🐓❤️

Pairings examples: Mass Market - Antique Anatomy, Tarot Chimera, Steampunk Tarot. Indie - Serpentine Tarot & Deck of the Odd.
