In Infinity War (2018), Nick Fury says "Mother" right as he starts dissolving. This is a brilliant, subtle piece of character work showing that a 70-year-old superspy was just terrified and wanted his mom to come pick him up.

In Alien: Romulus (2024), a group of 20-somethings decide that fighting an apex predator in the dark is less stressful than working a minimum-wage mining job. This is a subtle nod to the 2026 job market.
