CAF says nothing about one of their own going to court this week - why the silence?.

Why the silence from CAF about LCol Andrew Mills? He was arrested and charged more than a month ago and they’ve said NOTHING. No encouragement for other potential victims or witnesses to come forward to authorities, or even which authorities would be the appropriate one. No information about his current status… has he been sent home with pay? Is he still in a leadership/command position, going to work everyday?

This case has gotten almost no attention, and I can’t figure out why, other than that they’re exhausted from dealing with this issue and want it off their plates. Reduce the reputational hit that another case like this will bring.

Yet, this case is a serious case. It deserves attention over the next year or two. These cases take a long time to play out. The victim will need long term, ongoing support.

Maybe there’s systemic issues raised by this case? Maybe it’s so ugly that they’re desperate to hide it. Idk, but something smells off with this one.
