I like a girl who confessed to me, but I've never dated anyone before. Should I confess back?

Hi new here, and looking for some advice.

I'm a senior high school student and I've never been in a relationship or dated anyone before. Recently, I've started developing feelings for a girl I've become close with. When I first met her, she had a boyfriend. Their relationship was pretty toxic, and her ex was actually someone from my class who used to be part of my friend group. After they broke up, she opened up to me about what happened, and as I listened to her, we gradually became closer. Later, I found out that she had a crush on me and had already confessed. She also gave me a flower and some KitKats with a note saying she liked me. At the time, I didn't really know how to respond because I'd never dated anyone before and wasn't looking for anything serious.

However, as time passed, I realized that I started liking her too. I want to get to know her more and possibly date her, but I'm not looking for a serious relationship right away. I'd rather take things slowly and see where it goes. Well.. I'm also worried about school gossip, so I'd prefer to keep things private between us.

Should I tell her that I like her back? Or would it be better to take things slowly and get to know her more first? I've also never dated someone of the same gender before, so this is completely new to me. :c

My 2 yr. old female lovebird just laid an unfertilized egg, what do I do?

After laying the egg, she seems tired from trying to get the egg out. She has never mated with another bird before. Is there anything I can do to help her recover, such as improving her diet?

Also, should I get her a mate in the future so she can lay fertilized eggs?

My lovebird got caught in a gluetrap..

A week ago, my grandma bought some rat glue traps because we had a rat problem. As usual, she told me where to place them, and I also placed one near my bird's cage, under a table and close to a corner where rats usually passed by. We had been using glue traps around the house for about two months without any issues.

A few days later, my mom noticed what looked like a white tray moving around the living room. At first, she thought it was a rat that had gotten stuck in the trap. When she flipped it over, she realized it was my lovebird, Cupie. My mom immediately called me in a panic. Cupie was stuck upside down on the glue trap, and I didn't know what to do. I told mom to check and search online on how to remove the glue out from the bird immediately and fortunately I did the part help with my mom.

We wrapped Cupie with a soft towel, then used vegetable oil, and rubbed it gently into my bird's wings, feet and her tail, then washed the soft glue off with diluted dishwashing liquid on repeat. Luckily the glue didn't stick to her eye, but the eyelid did but i cleansed it off with water.

Me realizing that Cupie had somehow gotten out of her cage and wandered into a hidden corner on the floor where rats usually travel. Her cage is on top of a table, but there was still a glue trap nearby. It was my fault to place a rat trap anywhere she could potentially reach. I never imagined she would end up there, and I feel terrible and guilty about it.

The incident happened two days ago, and thankfully she's alive and healthy, eating, moving around, and recovering. However, her feathers still seem clumped together and look wet, and it hasn't dried. I'm not sure if it's leftover oil, leftover glue, or a mixture of both. Because of that, she is trying to warm herself with her body temperature for too long.

Should I give her another bath with lukewarm water? Without forcing her ofc, or should I leave her alone and let her preen naturally? How long does it usually take for feathers to return to normal after a glue trap accident?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

TL;DR: My lovebird accidentally got stuck in a rat glue trap. My mom and I safely removed the glue using vegetable oil and diluted dishwashing liquid. She's alive and recovering, but her feathers are still sticky and look wet after 2 days. I'm worried about whether I should bathe her again or leave her alone.
