SIPPs?

First time poster. I am a high earner (over £150k) but partner works part time so has low income. Age is 39. Starting quite late with this but starting to regularly contribute to a savings and investment ISA. Have regularly contributed to my work pension up to the maximum amount the employer will match my contribution.

I got approached about 18 months ago about transferring my pension into a SIPP. We decided not to at that stage but wondered how many people typically go down this route and is it worth it?

Struggling with 3 and life

Apologies in advance for the rant. I'm raising 3 children (7, 4 and 18 months) with my partner. I have a high powered and high paying career. We made the choice she would stay at home and raise the kids which is also a full time job.

We think our eldest is ADHD but waiting for diagnosis. The middle is a screamer with frequent meltdowns and the youngest is in everything trying to find increasingly imaginative ways to do himself serious harm or destroy the house.

I often find myself burnt out at the end of the day, shouting at the eldest for being argumentative, not doing what we ask. I then beat myself up for being a shit dad and worrying that I am causing them childhood trauma. Thing is I really wanted kids when I was younger but feel like I'm failing all the time. I have urges sometimes to just grab my passport and abandon this life but I don't want to walk away.

I also don't have any real romantic relationship with my other half. We're regularly burnt out or too tired. She says this is our hard season of life but I worry that we won't survive to see the better seasons. We have sex maybe once every 3 or 4 months.

Does anyone have any advice or words of reassurance?!
