Why is my city stagnant so early?

My city peaked around 2700 cims, and has been falling since. All of my industry keeps abandoning because it says there isn't enough resources and workers. But I have excellent traffic flow so I should have enough resources, and I have so much zoned residential area. Literally every single one of my industry buildings is abandoned. In all of my years this has never happened before. Are my workers perhaps overeducated? Should I reduce my education budget because my commercial zones have plenty of workers. My population is in free fall right now, and tons of houses aren't abandoned but nobody lives in them. Would it make sense to make a highway connection just for the industry even though traffic flow is good?

What do you think about redistricting to make Maine's second district a bit bluer?

Republicans have been merciless with their gerrymandering. I'm wondering if maine should help the democratic effort to strike back. CD-02 seems like a potential flip to republicans in 2026. With some redrawing, it could become a true tossup/lean democratic. What do you think?

If Clinton had won in 2008, would she have appointed Obama to a cabinet role, or would he have stayed a senator?

I want to redevelop a residential zone I have for a few other purposes. I am really cautious about potential ripple effects this could cause(e.g. flooding my entire city after trying to build a dam). Should I do it gradually? Do I not need to worry about it? What is your approach, and what are the biggest negative consequences of doing it wrong?
