There Is Hope: 3.5 Years Ago I was -4.5 with 0.75 Astigmatism correction.
Now, I am -1.75 with no astigmatism correction. I normally wear -1.5 daily. I can spot every batted ball at baseball games without correction. Check this out... https://i.imgur.com/nqbA9Uw.jpeg
I can easily pick up the batted ball every time. Also, if the pitcher is throwing under 95 MPH I can pick it up out of the pitcher's hand every time as well.
I think baseball is fantastic for honing central fixation.
Gutsy Performance By Edgar Garcia tonight in Toronto.
Guelph's entire pitching staff was tired. Edgar Garcia had to carry the load. After getting knocked around the first 2 innings he pitched 5 scoreless innings and Guelph came back from down 7-1 to win 14-7.

7 innings, 7 Ks, ZERO Walks. Garcia went right after Yasiel Puig on every at bat.
LASIK ain't working for baseball hitters
Bo Bichette had LASIK 18 months ago. He is typical of most LASIK patients who play Major League Baseball. One big bounce back year where he sees the ball great and then bad years after that. It is clear Bichette is having trouble picking up the ball and struggling with dry eyes. It also also clear Bichette was seeing the ball great in 2025 right after the surgery. Carefully watch his at bats and his activities before hitting in 2025 and 2026... you'll notice the differences.

Personally, if I'm a hitter looking to optimize my visual performance I'd go with Bates. Hell, all that rocking, swaying, and swinging are employed by baseball players the world over.
