Honey Oak Refinish

My wife and I have a small cabinet refinishing shop in Massachusetts and just completed a honey oak refinish. The client wanted the handles changed to knobs so that added the fill you'll see in the video. We think the cabinets were originally finished on site as underneath the handle plates there was no original finish and dark staining that had to be dealt with. Client was blown away with the results!

Golden Oak Refinish

Thought you all might like to see a job we are working on where the client added oak cabinets to an existing kitchen. In this video we are doing the final touch ups to filling a handle hole where the customer now wants knobs. This is right before the final clear coating the doors with ICRO 2k polyurethane. The process was clean and degrease, fill holes with wood colored bondo, scuff sand with 320, isolate fronts and backs with catalyzed ICRO W-300 , light sanding front and back with 320, artistic application of color matched ICRO stain to damaged areas on front and the knob holes, applied ICRO 1k 5500, light sanding 320, artistic re-stain to match wood, apply 5500 ICRO 2k as final topcoat in 15 sheen.
