The inaugural hydrogen-powered train has successfully concluded its ultimate semi high-speed trial, achieving a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. How do you see future of it in our country?
It's really reassuring to see our nation making progress in science and engineering. Hydrogen-powered trains have the potential to be highly efficient. Coincidentally, I was discussing this with u/Shareef_Ladka01 in the comments of another post on this very subreddit.
At a time when many things in our country seem gloomy, achievements like this give me hope. This is a significant milestone, as only five countries in the world have operational or trial hydrogen-powered passenger trains. The technology has several advantages, including zero carbon emissions at the point of use and low noise pollution. It could eventually replace diesel trains if our government also invests in large-scale hydrogen production (though, at present, the high cost of hydrogen remains a disadvantage).
This achievement is also a strong response to those who claim that Indians lack the talent for scientific innovation and can only excel at cramming or routine work.
How do you all see hydrogen-powered railways developing in India over the next decade?

[Critical Thinkers only] How do you all see Rahul Gandhi as PM?
My perception of him:
- He has never held a ministerial position at either the Centre or the state level. Except for Rajiv Gandhi (the son of Indira Gandhi), every other Prime Minister had prior ministerial experience.
- He has failed to secure a majority three times. In many other democracies, a leader with such repeated failures would likely have been replaced by now. For example, in the US, people have largely moved on from talking about Kamala Harris after her defeat.
- He is an educated man. One thing he has over Modi is his academic degrees.
- I find him ineffective as the Leader of the Opposition. There are many issues he could focus on, but instead he keeps returning to slogans like "Chowkidar Chor Hai" and "Narendra Surrender."
- Promises like depositing ₹8,500 into every bank account don't appeal to me. I would rather see a politician talk about sustainable economic growth. In any case, I don't believe such a promise would actually be implemented.
