About 8 years ago, according to my receipt, I put a yellow top Optima battery in my 2008 Silverado. We get proper winters some years. I used to put Die Hard batteries in and they died every three years. For the last three or four winters I keep expecting this AGM to leave me stranded but it hasn’t. Probably 9 years old now. Warranty was three years. Even bought a jump box just in case. Is this normal? I was a mechanic in the late 80’s, but I’m out of the loop now. Seems crazy.

In the late 80’s I worked at a summer camp for at risk kids and it was based, reasonably, upon getting back to basics. Along with “government cheese” subsidies, we got big cans of peanuts. I used an old school cast iron hand cranked meat grinder to process the nuts. Problem is, that was a long time ago and I’m a little fuzzy on the details. As I recall, I just fed dry roasted nuts into the grinder, nothing else. Came out grainy, small chunks, but creamy enough. Don’t remember if there was a special “fine” grind thing/blade, or will any meat grinder do? I don’t want to use a processor.
