gift for a surg tech friend?

Title. Guy friend of mine in his mid 20s who is currently in med school and works part time as a surg tech. His birthday is coming up and I'm trying to think of gift ideas that could be handy/useful for his job. Any recommendations? Budget is $40

have to remediate the basic science class this summer

I failed the first class in med school which was a 12 wk long basic scinece class (genetics, biochem, metabolism, micro, etc.) and I'm remediating it in the summer. I only have about three weeks left to study for it and I have absolutely no motivation. Everytime I think about studying I get a strong urge of "ugh I wish I could've just studied harder back then so I don't have to be stuck here doing this in my last 'free summer'".

I understand that it will benefit me in the long run in preparing for step, but I'm just so burnt out and done with studying, let alone thinking about the sheer amount of content I have to review. All of that is creating a lot of mental load that just is leading to my weeks-long procrasination.

I guess I'm looking for advice on how to tackle this? (I know there really isn't any advice besides "just get to it" but just UGH)

I don't want kids but my bf isn't sure

My boyfriend (22M) and I (25F) have been together for 7 months and it's been great. We love each other, he's kind, funny, respectful, and a great listener. I have known since I was 19 that I do not want kids. I have made this very clear since the day we met, and after getting together we've had more conversations where I shared my reasoning and feelings with him. He is 100% understanding and is very much in the camp of "your body your choice". He himself though isn't sure about the topic.

He doesn't want kids now, since he is still young and in graduate school (we both are). But he isn't sure if that might change in the future, when he has a more established career and becomes more independent (he lives with and is fully supported by his parents while in school).

I think that is totally valid, sometimes I can't help but wonder what if 10 years down the line he ends up wanting kids and I still don't? We've been together for less than a year and we have no plans of getting married or anything like that, but the relationship is really good and I can't help but think about our long term future. I've heard of stories where couples start out like us, and years later when the woman still doesn't want kids but the man changes his mind, cheats/divorces his wife to have children. I don't want that to be me, and I don't want that to be us.

Should I express my concerns to him? Should I only be together with people that also don't want kids? Should I just let it go because it likely won't be an issue until years later, if it ever become one?

I got my AirPods Max 1 (Lightning) back in March 2021 and have been using it since. My favorite features are the sound cancling and how it seemlessly transitions between my laptop, ipad, and iphone, as well as how it automatically pauses. I put it up for sell for $180 and got the Bose QuietComfort Headphones refurbished for $200.

My main issue of the airpods max was that it was just way too heavy, and the bose is noticably lighter so I really appreciate it. But I noticed that its noise canceling is not nearly as good, and it doesn't transition smoothly between my devices.

Thoughts? Should I keep my airpods max+return the bose, or fully commit to the swap?
