Short luteal phase?
Not sure what I’m really looking for here, maybe advice maybe just some reassurance. I had my Nexplanon removed February 24 of this year. Used Nexplanon as my primary form of BC since May of 2015; prior to that I used Depo briefly. Prior to any BC my menstrual cycle was pretty regular (don’t remember the exact length of my cycle but it was around 30-32 days and I bled for 7 days).
Since coming off BC I am fairly confident I have ovulated pretty consistently between CD13-14. I began tracking LH using Premom strips and started tracking BBT mid March. My issue is my cycles are now only 23-25 days long with the first two days of bleeding pretty normal followed by about 4 days of annoying “spotting” (AKA just enough to have to use a panty liner but good with one all day). I’m concerned it’s a lack of progesterone and at this rate my LP isn’t sufficient to ever support implantation so it’s like what’s the point. I know it’s still early in our journey, but it feels like if there’s an obvious issue why would I waste time waiting a year before seeking help??
Additional info: 32F, technically slightly overweight but I workout consistently, live an active lifestyle, eat healthy, only ever drink water and milk! Began taking prenatal vitamins end of February and started 200mg of CoQu10 today. History of thyroid issues on my mother’s side of the family, but routine bloodwork last year indicated there were no issues (supposedly).
Anyone have similar experience or any advice? I have routine fasting bloodwork due end of June and plan to ask GP if they can include additional tests specifically for fertility stuff. Any specific ones to ask for? Words of wisdom also appreciated bc I’m sure my husband is trying to be reassuring, but he just keeps saying it will work out but I am frustrated and feel alone in discussing this 😞
