Depth Suggestions?

Hi everyone! I’ve been reading so much I’m starting to get analysis paralysis lol. I’m seeking help regarding depths. I have done two treatments, about 6 weeks apart. My next will be about 6 weeks from the last. Not for any particular reason other than that’s how it’s working out with my schedule. My main goal is to stimulate collagen (I’m a 37f who’s had some weight loss). My secondary goal is to brighten/minimize my mild melasma. I do not have any acne scars or texture concerns. What depths should I be doing?!

Help me troubleshoot…

I woke up this morning to my face looking a surprising color. I wasn’t anticipating this and gave my husband quite the shock. I just started using two new products from regimen lab. I’m not sure if one of the products has oxidized or if there was a weird reaction between some of my products. Curious if anyone has any insight. It DID all wash off, but left me with questions. I’ll list the products below that I applied in my pm routine.

BYOMA milky oil cleanser
DRMTLGY g(oat) cleanser
Regimen Lab Vitamin X serum (second time using)
Skin Biology’s VIP Luxury GHK-cu serum
Platnium skincare’s cell intel
Prescription Azalaic Acid 15% gel
Regimen Lab The Level Serum (first time using)

Skin Boosters and Depth

Is a certain depth needed in order for skin boosters to be effective? We all know skin boosters are an investment. Is it worth using one with shallower depths? Say, .25-.5

Dr. Lance Setterfields book

I ordered The Concise Guide to Dermal Needling by Dr. Lance Setterfield and I can wait to nerd out all weekend and read this thing cover to cover. My background is healthcare but I’ve found such a passion for skincare and esthetics. I skipped the online version and purchased a physical copy off of eBay as with learner material I prefer the physical copy that I can highlight and keep close as a reference. Anyone else read this book and did you find with worthwhile?

Hyperpigmentation Questions

Almost 3 weeks ago I did a treatment with the following-

Dr Pen a20
Curnex
18pin
6 speed
Depth ranged from .25 - 1 pending area

The dark spots on my cheeks and upper lip have looked notably worse. Is this something that may be repairing under the skin? Or is it more likely PIH? Trying to gauge how to approach my next treatment.

Should I use a different glide? I have Hanheal PDRN, miracle touch BR, Soonsu ultra white, medisco hyaluronic acid, hyaluron, Curnex, and Hanheal NAD+

Melasma

I live in the Midwest and the temps can get quite high. I spent the weekend at a friends lake house and my melasma got so much darker from the heat 😭 i did wear spf and reapplied. I also wore a large hat to keep the sun off my face. I have spots on my cheeks and upper lip. I do chemical peels through the cooler months and microneedle monthly through the warmer months. My last session I used Curnex. Does anyone have any recommendations of skin boosters that dramatically helped melasma or dark spots?

My daily care includes txa, aza, tretinoin, and copper peptides. Plus a lot of soothing/healing products.

Frequency question.

If I’m doing a deeper, more aggressive treatment once every 4 weeks (.5-1 with 18pin) , can I do a cosmetic (.25, 24/36 pin) session anytime in between?

Skin Booster Question

I’m doing a series of MN sessions through the summer. Is it best to stick to one skin booster or is it okay to use a different kind each time? I most recently used Curnex. I was thinking of using Hanheal PDRN or Hanheal NAD+ next time. Thoughts?

Numbing Cream

Thoughts and opinions on numbing cream please. To use or not? And why or why not?

Dr pen A20. Likely 18 pin cartridge. Depths will vary but planning for a corrective treatment, not cosmetic.

Dr. Pen A20

Anyone have experience with this pen? I just ordered it and would love to hear some feedback.

Also- does anyone know if cartridges from the M8S are compatible with it?

Thanks all!!

What needle count should I use on my face for collagen induction, a couple of dark spots that are dime sized, and overall skin rejuvenation? I use a Dr Pen M8S
