I wanted to recreate the feeling of late 90s computer graphics using oil paint. The image wasn't painted from a screenshot, but from memories of early CGI, pre-rendered game backgrounds and low-poly aesthetics.

The dog doesn't really fit the low poly aesthetic, but I wanted it to stick out and therefore I painted it more cartoony. Also I try to not to "copy" the ps1 aesthetic 1:1 but to use it as a reference point and still have the artistic freedom to "break the rules". Hope you enjoy!
