Hi everyone,
I'm currently in the process of obtaining Romanian citizenship through my grandfather, who was born in historical Romanian territory (now part of Ukraine). After months of research, I finally managed to locate and obtain his birth record from the Chernivtsi archives in Ukraine.

The archive already issued the documents and sent them through Nova Poshta, but unfortunately I had an unexpected issue with the person in Ukraine who was supposed to receive them for me.

I'm now looking for someone trustworthy in Ukraine who could help receive the documents on my behalf and then forward them internationally to Brazil. Of course, I would cover all shipping costs and any expenses involved.

I know this is an unusual request, but I've spent a long time researching family records and would really appreciate any advice or help from someone who has gone through a similar process.

I recently obtained a birth certificate for my grandfather from Khotinsky Uezd, village of Kobolchyn Tsaronik, dated 1912, thanks to the community on this platform. I have his emigrant registration certificate from when he lived here in Brazil, as well as his marriage and death certificates. I also have my father’s birth certificate and my own. Do I need any other documents to apply for citizenship? I’m worried because, since the place where my grandfather lived at the time was Romania but is now Ukraine, I’m apprehensive about having to pay for the process and it not working out.
