Does your smart ring let you export your data?

I recently found out RingConn has a data export buried in the app that emails you a ZIP of CSVs with everything it's recorded — raw daily HRV, resting HR, sleep stages, steps — not just the in-app summaries.

I didn't realize how much I'd value that until I had it, and it made me wonder how the other rings compare.

For non-RingConn users: Can you export your raw data?

Export your RingConn data

I recently found a feature I had no idea existed.

RingConn will hand you everything the ring has ever recorded as CSV files. It's a bit buried: Me → App Settings → Data Management → Data Export. You pick a date range, enter your email, and it sends you a ZIP file.

Inside you get three CSVs — vitals (HRV, resting HR, SpO2), sleep (stages + duration), and activity (steps) — the actual daily numbers, not just the summaries the app shows you. It's cool to be able to look at all my numbers since I've had the ring, not just data from last few days one at a time.

Mostly posting because it took me way too long to notice this existed, and I figure I'm not the only one!

Gen 2 owner since late last year — is Gen 3 actually worth the upgrade?

I've had my Gen 2 since February and honestly it's been great — battery does mostly what they promised, sleep tracking has been consistent, and I've gotten weirdly into watching my HRV over time and making some lifestyle changes in response. The app experience could be better, but that's not really about the ring.

I keep seeing Gen 3 posts everywhere and I've got the upgrade itch. For anyone who's owned both: what changed day to day? Is it noticeably better at anything (accuracy, comfort, battery), or is it more of a spec-sheet upgrade? I'd rather hear from people who wore both than watch another review video or have full faith in RingConn's comparison articale.

Leaning towards just keeping my Gen 2 until a future generation REALLY adds some new features.

Hey!

In trying to improve the Slippi Ranked Stats app, I've implemented a "Grading" feature that grades your ranked sets by comparing your replays to a community repository of over 200k replays.

Something I thought that would be interesting to discuss is how exactly should you grade a game/set of Melee? Currently, the app is using a 40/40/20 split with Neutral, Punish and Defense with various sub categories underneath each main category. I would be open to changing up the weighting, but I'd like to hear what others think. Here's the current methodology and an example of a set being graded:
