She was so impressed with what she observed of the happiness and prosperity the people of Taiwan and the strength of the Republic of China forces exhibited in the parade and the kindness President Chiang Kai-shek showed to her. The photograph shows how happy Wu is with a Republic of China flag held in her hand standing in front of Chiang Kai-shek’s office.
