Meh.

First tapestries, a couple onesies, and a shirt I just put in the tub under the other projects and let dye in the muck.

Just ordered my first tapestry blanks.

I got a couple rounds, squares, and rectangles. What are some of y’all’s favorite tapestry folds?

Looking to improve

Hey all. I am new to tie dyeing. This is my fourth shirt and first time attempting multiple folds. I’m happy with how it came out overall but know I can always improve. What do some more trained eyes see where I could have done better or different here. Thanks!

Edit to add: Some things I noticed and would like to be better…I think my yellows and greens got a bit muddied and I wish the wig wag was a more pronounced. The black lines especially. I also attempted a spiral on the shoulders that didn’t really come out.

Also, a bit about my process

Pre-soaked in soda ash

The shirt was folded inside out sleeve in sleeve.

Dyed with dharma procion dyes

My batching ranged between 75-80 for about 18 hours.
