Put a lot of work into this one! Really happy with my geodes.

Geode eyes
Did a few random bright colors blues/reds DUI where the geodes were. Then TONs of brown, every brown i have went doi. Then when the ice turned clear I threw some raven on top. I wanted the shirt to be black and brown with colors near the sinew. The pink and turquoise that went into the lines washed out pretty quickly, but I'm still pretty happy how it turned out!

Tye dye update. I haven't done it in 10+years. I couldn't afford to buy new festival clothes, so I made my own. Not a fan of the skirt, I may add darker blues to it and adjust some of my sewing for it. I definitely think this is a new hobby I'll happen to pick up.
Cuz I love subnautica
Not too happy with the pupil on this fish 🤷♂️, but I thought I would share anyway.

Some may say, Kyle, you keep making the same stuff! Well practice is making perfect. Every shirt comes out better than the last. refining and perfecting. that’s tie dye for me
Tie-dye Dress
I work in a preschool classroom and for the last week of school we did spirit week, the last day being favorite color/tie dye day, which was announced about 3 weeks ahead of time. The weekend after I was out with a coworker who suggested I crochet and tie-dye a skirt, but I didn't want to deal with the waistband and everything (if anyone has suggestions on easy ways for skirts, feel free to let me know!), so I immediately said there's no way I'll have time. The next day I had bought all 15 skeins of white cotton our local Michaels had in stock (and another 12 halfway through), and a couple of the Procion MX Large tie-dye kits.
This is a full circle skirt done in DC, there was some gapping under the arms so the last night before spirit week I managed to pull it in by folding and stitching and the spin on this is just perfection I could not be happier. Just had to share!
EDIT:
First I want to thank everyone for all of the upvotes and positive comments! It's been amazing to read all of them and connect with the community 🥰🧶
Also, for anyone looking to do a similar project (which I LOVE the idea of and can't wait to see!) I want to share a couple sizing details given the use of not preshrunk cotton.
I sized up about 20%. I did still then have to pull in the bodice and shorten the straps by folding them under and sewing them, but I think that's what I'd do in the future to ensure a good fit.
I also sized up my hook. The yarn I used calls for a 5.0 and I tend to crochet very tightly, and didn't want to lose the drape and stitch definition after shrinking, so I used a 6.0 just to ensure that I wouldn't get extremely dense fabric. If you crochet loosely, it likely wouldn't be an issue, but it's certainly something to keep in mind.
Again thank you all and I can't wait to see more crochet tie-dye in the future!
