Another blue/black gradient petal mandala
Made another one of these. The people keep asking for them, so i’ll keep making them. Love the technique process getting the fade right. Probably going to make some other color combos in the future!

that feeling when you’re ironing a shirt that you feel might be your best yet…then notice you poked a hole in it with scissors untying it. Feels real bad man.
Love doing the gradient petals. Turquoise, bluebird, raven black and silver lining. First time with a really big shirt, 3XL. lots of fabric to keep track of, but this turned out sick.
I figured I’d try a go at the 12 pt mandalas since I’ve gotten the 18 and 24 in a good spot. I found it’s a quicker tie, but can break down a lot easier since there is tall of fabric but not as thick. managed to get it solid, though!
4 new shirts this week. Got a golf outing coming up and we are going to all wear some fresh dyes. The red white and blue was tough to keep the white. turns out these colors do bleed, unfortunately in this case. Let everyone pick their colors and rolled with it. Really like the B/W side mandala incline dye, but saturation is tough on the big end.
Wanted to see how DTF graphics would turn out on a dyed shirt, so I worked with a local shirt shop. The result is cool, but I don’t know if I will try it again. This was a white shirt, so lots of black dye. managed to get a lot of it on my feet somehow lol. black toes for the next week
A few shirts for someone local I dyed this weekend. Really happy with both! The side mandala is something new i’ve never tried before. If I ever do it again, I will make it bigger. It was already very big, but this is a 2X on something like a large, I think it would turn out looking better.
Decided to do another one of these mandalas. Not sure what to call it, but a friend said “split back” mandala, so we are going with that. Color scheme is northern lights inspired with lavender, sea glass and turquoise. Love the colors and vibrancy!
First time i’ve ever really gotten the triple split pedal mandala to work in a way i’m happy with. Absolutely love this shirt!
I like making S and M shirts. If i can’t fit into them, then i can’t talk myself into keeping them!
this shirt turned out so sick. Incline liquid dye. sorry, didn’t take a photo on it incline in the gutter.
Ran low on dyes, but not time!
I really like greens, it’s my favorite color. Lime pop and Forest green blend together so well. Add a little black and it’s a cool shirt in my book.
Really stoked on this shirt. It’s available, but if it sticks around for a bit, i’m keeping it! check it out! https://kskdyes.etsy.com XL
When I do the hot water and soda ash on a dyed shirt, some colors change. In this case, it is Lime Pop. I’ve notice this on others, but not all, when doing the pariah method. Just curious…why is this? they still dye the same when washed out, but just look different once the hit with the water/ash mix.
Been doing a few of these with silver lining and different colors. Figured I’d use my other favorite color, Sea Glass. Love it! Available, XL https://kskdyes.etsy.com
Local person wanted matching shirts for him and his wife. Decided to flip the colors and think it turned out pretty cool!
a friend asked me to make a shirt for his wife, so i figured i’d try an ice dye again after a long break from it. she really likes pink, so i went with hot pink and silver lining both DOI and DUI in the muck. really love this color combo. might try it again with a more dusty pink to give it a more delicate flow like in the middle area where the gray and pink mix. really happy with this, though!
Friday is Tie Dye Day at the local elementary school. My bosses kid asked me to make him one. Turned out great! going to be the coolest one, I hope.
