Considering how there seems to be a gulf of sorts between the prog and pop fans, I have always wondered what the thought was actually hearing them on mainstream radio or picking up those albums (and then there were three and Duke) and hearing those songs and realizing these weren't 10 minute sonnets or stories.

For me, Follow you Follow me is a true gem.

I think this has been a long time debate. To me, it is no question to go by production order (at least to like 11-12). But, there are still some who don't know better or want to be purists and do it as it was done to begin with.

Just seems like for a long time he had a " yeah that was my first movie but let's talk about other stuff" attitude towards Spaceballs. Did anyone else get a similar vibe from him? Was he getting bad agent advice? Have to say I was shocked he signed up for the sequel even though his stance seemed to change these last few years.

Seems like I heard decades ago that they had wanted to add to Picard's final log of the episode to say something that despite that declaration, Starfleet had still decided that what Riker and Picard did was justified in light of the bug's invasive tactics and the fact they killed so many (including the crew of an Ambassador class ship). Anyone else recall hearing something like this?

I respect the iconic nature of the original, I think this was just a different angle to take on it. Horns sound great and Scheff sounds good singing out of the gate so to speak.

Best example for me is the croquet ball throw without a spacesuit scene in Four to Doomsday. I know for back at the time it was really cool, but after thinking about it, nope. Plus, when the Doctor gets in to the TARDIS, he should have been covered in ice.

I see after 3 seasons, there are still some who think giving Pike's XO an actual name is wrong and hold on to (at least what I think) is the belief that she didn't have a name in The Cage so calling her Number One is the only name she should have now. Even before SNW came to be, I had always argued that she had to have an actual name and that had The Cage been picked up and it's cast and characters retained, Gene would have given her an actual name. Think of it this way; they are on a diplomatic mission meeting with planetary leaders, wouldn't it be really silly for Pike to intro the command staff and say, "this is my first officer, commander Number One"? On top of that, think of how Ad Astra per Aspera would have would have played out without her name. I just find it frivolous those who don't want to accept her having a name just because.

This is why I've always said you've already lost if you are running as anything but the "R" for like county commission, especially the farther west of say, Lawrence, you go. Anymore, I think more and more are running republican even if they aren't and hoping they can win the primary, then it's a shoo-in.

I really wish there was a way to make local elections non-party, as in all honesty, does party really matter at that level? I like how many cities do it like that, that way, voters actually have to listen and learn who to vote for instead of just ticking the "R" box

Never see or hear mention of either. Leads me to believe maybe neither exist or exist as they were as you would think they'd been prime nuke targets in WW3. But then we see in SNW that Paris got nuked and it's been seen as fine since and is where Federation HQ is.
