New to the game, trying to craft a White/Green deck. Where should I make adjustments?

My concept was block early, breach mid-to-late game. I'm testing on Mobile Suit Arena, using msafixer to try to compensate for the perceived shuffling issue.

I'm pretty good at slowing down the early game and getting a couple shields knocked out. I'm noticing I am getting out-resourced mid-to-late game. I'll be down to a unit or two on board and two cards in hand (usually pilots) while my opp has a full grip and a couple big units and a base. I tried the Overwhelming Affection to fix the hand, but it doesn't seem to help much.

Any suggestions to accomplish this goal?

How are Sky Striker players dealing with the spell hate in the format?

I've noticed an uptick in cards meaning to shut down spells (e.g., Naturia Beast, Naturia Rosewhip). I've also noticed Sky Striker players are maximizing spells to get three in graveyard as asap as possible.

What are you doing to deal with these cards?

I noticed Amatsu with Raye in graveyard and one of the negate spells deals with Beast. But it requires a bit of setup or good draws.

I've been playing Yu-Gi-Oh for a few years at locals and some regionals. I'm picking up Gundam right now.

It's been over a year since I had a winning record at ygo (that was only because I had a bye and won one). That's one of the few times I did better than x-3.

I picked up Gundam because I'm vaguely interested in the IP and the game seems less complex. I'm new so I can chalk my losses to that for now, but it's still demoralizing to lose this much.

How much practice is needed to be good at these games? I know there's no shortcuts, but it's exhausting.
