I just purchased a new reel (5wt) and wanted to get a new rod to pair with it for a streamer/smallmouth set up.

I currently have 2 5wt reels and a 5wt, 9ft pole. I planned on using the rod i already own for dry dropper/nymphing.

What is a good rod to get for streamer/smallmouth setup, I saw 7wt somewhere online does that seem too heavy?
