“Aftersun” screening canceled/moved without notice

I bought a ticket for an 11:00am showing of *Aftersun* a month ago. Today we showed up and apparently it was moved to yesterday? They never attempted to contact those of us who had tickets to let us know that it had changed. My ticket still showed that is was showing three minutes before the screening was supposed to start.

Really enjoyed Mandalorian and Grogu

M52 here, been a Star Wars fan since summer of 1977. Love the OT, loathe the PT, like the ST.

The movie is great fun, with nods to other Star Wars films, of course, but also as wide and varied as *Blade Runner* and *Flash Gordon* and *Apocalypse Now* and *The French Connection*.

It’s a detective story and a quest movie, with some fun fightin’, plus some fantastic puppet work. It’s breezy light entertainment (complimentary), not an epic saga mover. If you liked the show, you’ll like the movie.

Star Wars needs more like this — outside the main story, but in the world we’re all familiar with. A great Saturday matinee.

Found a beloved childhood toy!

I was so happy to find this in a Kay-Bee Toys back in the day (same place I got my massive Matchbox SDF-1). It’s bounced between the ten places I’ve lived in my adult life, and with how fragile these things were **before** being forty year old plastic, it’s in great shape! I’m actually pretty shocked that only one hook is broken and I never lost any of the pieces!

Am I going to keep it, or do I sell it to someone else who would love it? These are the things you think about when you get older.
