How durable is the Series S to being dropped?
About 2 weeks ago, my series S went flying off my dresser and hit the floor.
What happened was I was sound asleep, but the charger cable (which was connected to the Xbox) was next to me. I rolled around and it tugged on the cable and made it fall off the dresser, it bounced off the edge of my mattress and then smacked into the floor with a loud bang, shaking the entire house equal to a 9.8 magnitude earthquake.
I shot awake in absolute fear and disbelief, The power cable was ripped out violently from the incident but the HDMI cable was long and did not get ripped out. I shaked the console ans heard no loose parts jiggling inside, i powered it on and it still works perfect ever since.
But clearly there must be a catch? It was a very powerful fall, there is a bit of damage on the edges but surely a fall like that must mean the console is slowly dying? I can’t see how it can be so unscathed from this fall.
The only thing I notice is when I jiggle the power cable and hdmi cable, I can jiggle it up and down but not side to side. I have no idea if this is normal or not. Has anyone else had any dropping incidents pertaining to their Xbox? I’ve been stressed about this for weeks because if this suddenly dies then I have no way to play gta 6.
