Hey everyone,
I came across this book: SSC General Awareness Chapterwise & Typewise Solved Papers (TCS PYQs, Revised & Updated, up to Jan 2025) — it claims to have 14k+ questions with detailed explanations.
I’m mainly looking for a chapter-wise PYQ resource for GA to strengthen concepts and revise efficiently.
If you’ve used this book, could you share:
How accurate and exam-relevant the PYQs are
Quality of explanations (are they actually helpful or just superficial?)
Whether it’s अच्छा for revision or overkill
Any better alternatives for chapter-wise GA prep
Context: Preparing for SSC CGL / CHSL.
Appreciate any honest feedback 🙏
Hey Scholars!!
I’m preparing for SSC CGL and want to practice chapter-wise previous year questions (PYQs) for each subject (Quant, Reasoning, English, GK/GS). The problem is—I’m not sure where to find them in a well-organized format.
I’ve seen random PDFs and some books, but I’m specifically looking for something structured chapter-by-chapter, ideally on an app or platform where I can practice regularly.
If anyone here has already gone through this phase, could you suggest:
- Apps or websites with chapter-wise PYQs
- Any specific books that are well-organized for this
- Or your personal strategy for covering PYQs effectively
Hyy,
I’m in a pretty messed up situation right now and really need some genuine advice.
I’m an engineering student (batch 2022–2026), and my college is going to end in about 10 days. I had chances to take a 20–25k job, but I decided not to go for it because I want to prepare for SSC CGL.
Given the time left, I don’t think I’ll be able to properly prepare for CGL 2026, so I’m targeting CGL 2027 as my last serious attempt (because of my situations).
I’ve shortlisted some teachers for preparation and wanted to know if this combination is okay for completing the syllabus:
- English: Aman Vashishth Sir
- Maths: Gagan Sir
- Reasoning: Piyush Varshney Sir
- GK/GS: Parmar Sir
1). Are these teachers enough if I follow them seriously, or should I change/add something?
Also, I’m confused about the study approach. Suppose I complete a chapter through lectures:
2). I’ll do the class questions, but is that enough?
3). What extra should I do after that?
4). From where should I practice more questions (books, PDFs, test series, etc.)?
Basically, I don’t want to just watch lectures and feel like I’ve studied—I want to do it properly.
If anyone has been in a similar situation or has cracked CGL, please guide me:
- How should I structure my preparation from zero?
5). What mistakes should I avoid?
6). Any practical tips for long-term consistency?
I’m feeling a bit lost right now, so any honest advice would really help.
