Are custom weapon servers fucked at the moment?

I’ve tried to play custom weapon servers 4 separate times today and each one has been a bust. First it has to redownload everything despite the fact that I’d played on the servers a week ago (one of them did have an update but still) and that takes forever, so I ended up abandoning some servers because of the absurd wait time.

Then I get into the server and I can’t select custom weapons at all. They don’t even appear in the Loadout menu

Lastly, one of the servers I tried to play on downloaded the map rumford event, then said it’s missing (see above)

I’ve tried verifying the integrity of the game files after closing the game twice, and both times, 1 file has been missing

Is this a real email?

Received a relatively real looking email. Haven’t clicked on anything but don’t remember ordering a parcel from “pan jia min” (idk if that’s a person or place) though it could be something I ordered a few months ago and forgot about

Hot Take: Paris is a terrible map for Freelancer

Now, don’t get me wrong, sometimes it’s a great map, and a fairly good one for Showdowns. But most of the time it’s a fucking nightmare because of one thing. The targets.

Occasionally, you’ll roll a bad target who will wander the party area and that just screws everything up. It’s really crowded and in one case my target *never moved*. Almost 10 minutes of gameplay and she only ever stood at the bar drinking wine. In the end I just threw a kitchen knife into her head and ran. At this point Paris is a map I avoid, alongside Marrakesh, Colorado and Bangkok.

Conversely, I actually enjoy playing Santa Fortuna on Freelancer. Mumbai too though that his similar problems with its random targets
