"Anything antivirus would catch, EDR will too"

I'm really struggling with this claim. On the very surface it sounds reasonable, but security should never stop at the surface. We have a suite of systems protecting our users and I'm having a really hard time picturing an AV-less stack. One less layer in the onion. Then again I am old and set in my ways. Am I being stubborn here or are my Spidey senses working normally?

Pax8 is just 100% AI copy/paste at this point

I noticed our account rep providing obvious AI responses a couple of months ago. I told him flat out I don't appreciate it. This week, I've had a couple of support cases that are just as obvious. I don't know which C level needs to be... gently persuaded, but this might just be the last straw for us.

Found dog - Chevy Chase

Friend found this lovely doggo running loose near Chevy Chase. No tags, obviously very friendly. She's going to take him to a shelter as soon as they open. If he's yours let me know!

We need a new backup vendor and one of my team is an absolute Ninja fanboy. I know most folks here are, too. We already use the RMM and I had a demo of backups today that looked very impressive.

So tell me the bad now. The ugly. The stuff you hate and the stuff that just doesn't work as advertised. Why should I not move us to Ninja backups? I already know it will be a considerable cost savings if we do.
