Picked up my first vice yesterday.

I've needed a vice for too long and finally found one the other day at an estate sale. It's an old Reed 203 1/2. Came across this sub a few months ago, and seeing all the pictures of some of these old vices made me want an old one versus a new one.

It looks like it's in good shape to me. Opens and closes smooth, and the swivel base works. I tried researching it's age and read they have lightly stamped marks on them. Its latest patent date is 1918

How's it look to you guys? Picked it up for $45 and want to lightly clean and put some fresh grease on.

Looking for advice on new table vice

Picked up an old Reed mfg 203 1/2 table vice today at an estate sale and wanted a project to keep me busy. It appears in great shape for its age so I figured I'd break it down, clean all the old grease and rust I find and reapply fresh grease on and put it together. Am I missing something, or is that all that's needed with these old vice?

Question for you all with Dewalt pressure washers.

I have the Dewalt dwpw2100 pressure washer, and I'm love it. The only issue i have with it is the built-in soap chamber not dispensing. I've tried filling it fully, halfway and even a quarter full, but nothing happens. Read the instruction manual, and it should be as simple as putting soap in the chamber but nothing happens. Anyone have any advice on what I should try? Or just buy a foam cannon and use that?

Foam inserts

Picked up the 3 drawer toughsystem today and want to use it to store my handtools or other items that may not be used often, but when you need them, want them organized and easier to grab. Like my 3/8 rachet, extensions and whatnot, sockets, other hand tools.

For those who cut out their tools in foam, what brand did you try? What did you like about it or couldn't stand? Did you find a certain brand that just works better and makes for a cleaning look?

Dewalt DWPW2100

Been needing a small pressure washer and I'm quite impressed with this little machine. Mainly needed a machine that's strong enough to cleaning vinyl siding and occasionally the vehicle.

Tested on the siding today and it worked great for that. Every 5 min or so, it would pause spraying and build up pressure again. It's nothing annoying because it's generally pretty fast and within 2-3 back to spraying.

For a home owner who's pulling it out occasionally it meets all my needs. The design was thought out well. Its small like a suitcase and can be stored on a shelf or stacked on top of another item. Also has an expandable handle like the toughsystem rolling boxes. Made it quite easy to pull it out and wheel around the yard.

Also, all the wand, handle and spray bits all fit away inside the machine and close away. Had an old model from another brand that you had to rest the wand and stuff on the side and they continually fell off.

Over all for $150 its amazing. It's not something a professional would buy but for an average home owner it does alot of things good.

When things fit perfectly it just feels better.

I've been using my Dewalt small modular toolbox as my dedicated battery and charger storage and it works great for this. With my recent leaf blower I got a 2nd 9ah flex voltage battery and it's like the inside compartments are made for these.

The interior compartment with the lid is the perfect size for the 9ah flex voltage batteries. If they sold them separately, they would make great holders for those with the 9ah batteries.

I know this is nothing amazing, but I like organizing my tools and thought someone else must enjoy it also and could benefit from it.

With my new leaf blower eating batteries, it was nice to be able to keep both my batteries enclosed inside the inner compartment and bring them with me. The last picture is the inner compartment i am mentioning.

Saw this at an auction

60v worm drive converted into a chain saw. How safe do you think this is?

It's a lot bigger put together than the little box suggests. I can't wait to use it. I have been looking at them for a year now. Battery was recently made too. Stamped with 2026 06-49-11 besides the 2026 the other 3 numbers don't make much sense

They didn't have any actual flyers, but thr employee said they had 1 store copy i could look at. I took a few pictures of anyone is interested. I know the pictures are kinda crappy, the printer they used must not have been the best.

On Earth Day yesterday, my neighbor cut down a total 16 fully grown, healthy beautiful trees on his side yard. The picture is 4 city lots that were combined into 1 with a row of about 12 large trees providing shade.

Called the Forrester in my city to see if this was allowed. The Forrester stated we have nothing on the books that prevents an owner from cutting a tree down on private land. Those with even slightly ok laws are so lucky.
