Think I want to finally show Its Always Sunny to my British Dad
For context, I ( also british) am having a chinese with my Dad in a few hours. I would really like to finally show him this show, but I dont know whether to just start from the beginning or if you guys gave a particular episode(s) to recommend. I can't decide.
I have told him many times over the years that Its Always Sunny is my favourite american sit com but knowing the man he is. He probably just wouldn't watch it off his own back.
He is 60 and enjoys a many a sitcom and has an impressive collection, but mostly british ones such as Porridge, Ever Decreasing Circles, The Good Life, Fawlty Towers, Dinnerladies, Thin Blue Line etc. However, he is a fan of Big Bang Theory and Frasier. But is he fairly open minded... I think.
What do you reckon? Thanks in advance!
Disclaimer - it really might just not be his humour and im prepared for this also 😅
Edit - Thanks for all the input on the post. H9nestly made my day. I commented an update on how it went.

Hit new rock bottom. Need advice. Apologies for long post.
UK based here.
Been struggling with ketamine addiction for the last few years and addicted to cannabis for the last 15 years. Probably worth mentioning I suffer from CPTSD and depression and anxiety.
I did 12 weeks sober from February following the birth of my niece but I relapsed and lost May to ketamine. Just repeatedly buying half ounces and binging through it in a few days. Rinse & repeat you know the drill.
Sunday night was the 4th night of the latest binge and I had a reaction which ive never experienced before. I had been smoking cannabis all day, had 300mg of pregablin and probably had 2-3 grams in about 9 hours. At midnight my lips went completely numb in a way ive only experienced when seriously ill. I was also dripping with sweat whilst completely cold and struggling to breathe. I had to call my parents as I literally thought I was going to die and I had a trip to A&E with them. I was fine in the end but it was scary as fuck. Also super embarrassing and ashamed to drag my parents into it. Was this an overdose or have I been buying laced ket?
Anyway, im 2 days sober now off everything and aim to continue. Im living with my parents for a couple of weeks to try and normalise my routines and look after myself.
My question to you guys is, has anybody managed to quit ketamine whilst continuing to smoke weed? I think this has been my problem and I have to go teetotal but it scares the shit out of me. Weed has always always offered me that baseline feeling.
Secondly, has anybody had good experiences with either NA or SMART recovery? Again, the thought of attending these scare the shit out of me but nobody I know can relate to me regarding my problem with drugs.
Sorry for the long post. Ive been a lurker/commenter in here for years and this is my first post. This shit has ruined my life and I cant do it anymore.
Thanks in advance.
