Kittens found on riverbank Update #1

I went back to the river family today with kitten food and all the kittens came to eat. Mama ate the most but each one got their time in the bowl.

They came much closer, I was even able to pick one up (it jumped away and mama yowled at me every time I got close again) but I was able to pet them before they ran off.

The food was almost gone when a male cat came up, and they all shrank back into the bushes to see what he was gonna do. He took the last few bites of the food. Probably the dad.

Plan is still to bring a carrier and more food when my paycheck comes in 2 days so I can take em to the vet. I don’t think it will be difficult to get them in the carrier but I will have to watch closely to make sure they’re all in there. The smallest black one is the most skittish and only came out after all the other cats had started eating.

Found kittens on the riverbank. Would kittens this age still be breastfeeding? Context in post

I’ve been taking my dog to the river every morning recently and I’ve seen this tiny black cat (2nd pic) a few times, sometimes eating kibble or wet food that someone leaves. This morning was the first time I’ve seen her kittens! She’s got 3.

I came back a few hours later and brought a 12oz can of salmon pâté dog food (what I had on hand) and momma ate 90% of it in 5 minutes, but the kittens never showed. I even walked a good distance away and watched for them but momma just scarfed it down and left.

I was hoping that the kittens would eat since it’s getting cold out and they need energy :/ That got me wondering, are they even going to eat solid food/wet food?

I know it’s hard to tell age from a picture but I don’t know anything about cats and I included the only ai got one with momma to show size difference (2nd pic) but she is very small too, I’d be surprised if she was more than 10lbs.

Planning to rattlecan my Pathfinder, prep work?

The paint isn’t the worst but it’s got clear coat peeling from the roof all the way to the lower window line, and further in some areas. Sun fading across the entire car but worst on hood and roof (expected). Probably never had a real detail in its life so dirt, bird shit and everything else baked into the paint.

What kind of prep work would you recommend for a matte black rattlecan paint job to come out as good as possible? My friend is a semi-professional spray paint artist so I’m not doing it myself and I want it to look alright from ~10 feet away.

Also this is a weekend/off road car that will get scratched and scraped A LOT so I’m really not concerned with quality, just don’t like the awful peeling.

Starting to appreciate my natural hair

I always kept my head shaved throughout middle school/high school but I’ve been growing it out since I was 20 and this is 5 years of growth. I usually keep it in twists because it’s HOT but I never realized how much people would like my hair. I get constant compliments when it’s out, feels nice:) that’s all, felt like sharing
