Best timing to get my Spouse CC?

Im currently in the process of fixing my wives credit (Dont need help there) And Once I get her to a respectable score I want her to apply for a Undecured CC from NFCU.

She’s a full time mother so I am the only income in the house, But we have a joint account, so I’d hope they take my income as reliable income when considering her for a CC.

I was thinking of starting her on a Pledge loan to and slapping in a Certificate while im at it, pretty much help building her relationship with this bank while im actively paying off her debt.

⬇️⬇️The big question here is once I fix her credit and she has a clean record and good score, is that enough to confidently apply for a unsecured card or should I try building her relationship with NFCU before that?

And with that being said how much will her relationship with this bank affect her starting limit on a fresh CC vs Just going in with nothing but a Debit card in her name on a Joint Account?

She only has 1 hard inquiry on her credit report I really dont wanna add another hard inquiry just for her to get denied. Advice?

Pushed my sh*t too high /:

Imagine its 7in the morning, im half asleep tryna fade myself up before my kids wake up.

Hands slip with a closed half guard now im pushing my Taper higher and higher tryna save it. What started as a mid taper turned into a high bald taper.

Tbh Im not mad at the high & bald look I fw it but I couldnt blend it into my head bro, I feel this was one of my worst fades in a while how bad is it?

Yalls Routine for regular Machine care

Me personally, before every cut I brush the last clients hair off my machines, spray Andis cool care and get to work.

Same for last cut of the day, for sitting overnight I still just brush off old hair and spray Cool care, only difference is atp I bust open my machines to get the hair out internally and make sure the cool care gets in there good as well.

Im gonna be 100% honest I Never use oil/grease…. I dont feel its necessary if its constantly getting oil’d up when I disinfect them. As far as disinfecting goes I never drowned my blades in alcohol then turned them on (or whatever it is some barbers put they’re blades into)

Am I fcking up? Or is what im doing good enough as far as disinfecting/sanitation and long term machine care goes. My machines havn’t failed on me yet and I havnt seen a client get bumps off of me either. Whats yalls typical care routine for inbetween cuts and at the end of the day preparing to sit overnight?

Tbh I’m more curious of yalls routines than debating on whats right or wrong, but I take critiques well if you wanna talk my ear off about how lazy my routine is lol

Pros/Cons of SC Instincts?

So iv been watching lots of reviews about the Style Craft Instincts and the most consistant con I hear is the blade overheats too much, not much else to add but it is a concerning issue for me, seeing as these would become my Primary go to clippers.

Iv been running the TPOB play Clippers & Trimmers for a while, and while the Play Clippers have been treating me very well and almost never overheat on me, theres some areas where it just doesn’t hit the mark for me.

I want to hear the hairs falling off my clients head like I’m using a quality piece of machinery. And I’d hope that translates to me making a few less passes when Im just setting guidelines…. And as nit picky as these next few are, I dont like the Lever on my TPOB’s. I’d like a more distinct/satisfying click. And I also wouldnt mind adding a more Quality looking/Flashy Clipper to my lineup.

All that being said, does SC hit the mark for you guys as far as Quality Performance and Quality Feel goes? Or am I making a mistake buying an almost 300$ clipper? Did they fix that over heating issue with the newer versions of these Instincts or is that still something I should steer away from?

Any Pros/Cons and Critiques is greatly appreciated. I plan to buy these today or tommorow if Im feeling more confidence it isnt just a hyped up clipper.

(Update) No more Low Tapers..

You might’ve seen my post some weeks back. The past 2-3 weeks iv been trying to pull of Low Tapers on myself with C cups. Mainly out of interest, some intent was for learning purposes.

Long story short it felt like to much work & detailing for such little change, my wife said she didnt even notice when id cut my hair with the low tapers it just wasnt there, so we’re breaking up. Back to the Mid/High Tapers. I didnt push the back up higher but probably next time I will.

The sharpened C cups made me look clean yk but I never actually felt like I got a haircut after doing a Low Taper on myself… I feel like im back in the game with this one.

(Ps I got a year experience and this took 3 hours cause I had to get the hang of it again lol)

If I remember correctly a year or so ago this group had a thread completely dedicated to practicing spanish. No english or translators allowed, what happened to that?

You might’ve seen my post last night, im the guy that learned spanish mostly from Tejanos from the Valley/Houston/Corpus Area, and only the last few years have been learning from Mexico Natives.

I also mentioned im having trouble communicating with other hispanics from different countries other than Mexico… Mainly cause the spanish I know is heavily leans tword a more Mexican dialect, But is also watered down from most of my learning being in the US, My basic spanish was mostly self taught through Tv and media but most of my vocabulary and way of speaking with it is from the 2nd - 3rd generation peers in my city that I speak it with the most.

Someone mentioned its cause I dont even speak real spanish which I agree with. From how watered down and un proper it is im sure I got alot of learning to do

For now though, I am ready to put my spanish to the test and see what Level I am at. How does one get graded on his or her level of spanish?

🚨Disclaimer🚨 I dont mean to sound rude when I describe the way these guys were speaking, this is what I heard on my end and I included it for the sake of the Story/My struggle being very clear.

Im from SE Texas, Spanish is everywhere as long as your willing to learn, I feel I speak a pretty large amount of spanish for someone who cant actually speak spanish and I was proud of that. Not completely fluent, but I know enough to be the Spanish to English Translator and Vise versa if needed.

But lately… I transferred to a different part of my job and now im paired up with Colombians and Cubans (Actual Colombia/Cuba Natives)

My spanish is somewhat broken but I get by decently, but with these guys, man I cant understand a single word, Makes me feel like a kid again not even knowing how to tell them we dont speak the same language.

Other day at work I hear “wawawaaaawa coño bwahh bwaahwawaa Tienes que aprender Español

I respond like “Ya estoy aprendiendo, pero no les entiendo. Al chile wey, es como si hablaran otro idioma, no entiendo ni una puta palabra alv”

We all laugh together, funny moment cause I havnt tried speaking to them much up until then. I also think they just get a kick out of no sabos busting out some spanish. But that dont change the fact that the problem still sticks afterwards.

How do I even communicate when the dialect is so different on a language im still learning how to speak clearly? I can have some real convos with Mexicans, brief ones at least. Even if my spanish is broken we understand eachother enough to get the point across, But unfortunately I cant keep up with any other dialect unless its just small work related comments…. Makes me feel like im back to square 1 idk if this is something I can work out now or I gotta master the whole language before branching off to another Dialect.

I hope one day its just like speaking english with someone British. Ah you call Cookies Bisquits and got a different accent than me but aye, we understand eachother.

Keeping this nice and brief.

I know this isnt the best fade ever I just wanted yall to see how much of a difference a RingLight will make. All these obvious small errors Im able to notice and correct because of the good lighting makes all the difference in the finished cut. If you dont got the money for a ringlight rn at least buy some sort of LED’s.

I started with (2) 10$ Auto Zone LED lights you use for like working under your truck or wtv. I hung that on my mirror and even though it looked ghetto it made a huge difference in my experience.

didnt know how else to say that but heres a bit more context. Whatever the highest guard is that im using (#2 for example) Ima hit the 1.5 the 1 and the 1/2 guard under that. I hit every single guard below my highest guard cause im thinking you need to for a good blend right.

However, I’m seeing online people will skip some guards and it actually comes out pretty nice. (Example) Blending a 1/2 guard into a 1.5 without even using a 1 guard inbetween.

Whats yalls take on that, is that something yall do? Is it better sometimes or is it just a preference kind of thing? Case by case thing depending on the client or a legitimately good system all around?

Thinking of trying this on my next cut.
