As the title said, I wanna know what other modpacks has challenging end goals to reach or what modpacks are difficult to 100%. I excluded all the GregTech packs as I know they are hard already and I’ve already heard that way too many times. I’m looking for a more unpopular packs atm

Earlier today I tried to start my minecraft server like usual but when I tried to conect to tunnel it says this error

Generally I don’t want to host+play in the same system, but I’m trying to look at different possibilities. Currently I’m hosting ATM10TTS server on my old laptop with 11th Gen Intel(R) Core i5-1155G7 2.50GHz + 16 Gb of DDR5 Ram and I’m playing on another device just fine with little to no TPS drop even with 5 copies of every mod (my friends and I decided to play separately, we are in the same world but different sections dedicated to each person and everyone of us are 100%ing the pack, so for example, 5 AE2 systems, 5 MI factories, 5 Mekanism Fission Reactors, etc.)
But with ATM10 (which we aim to play next) I’m not sure if my laptop can handle the same brutality. So I’m deciding between the two options I have rn:
Using old laptop(host only):
CPU: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core i5-1155G7 2.50GHz
RAM: 16 Gb DDR5
Using my main pc(host+play):
CPU: Ryzen 5 7500f
RAM: 32 Gb DDR5
What would u guys recommend?
I’m not sure if this is curseforge thing or something else, but has anyone encountered this problem? I’m trying to play some skyblock modpack with my gf and when I tried launching enigmatic skies it crashed, later when I tried launching FTB skies 2 it also crashed. I thought I was because of curseforge or minecraft itself so I redownloaded pretty much everything but the problem remains so I checked the “lastest” file and it seems error occurred when they tried to do something with Neoforge. It seems Neoforge crashed the game so I tried downloading 21.1.224 instead and it worked just fine. I wonder if anyone has the same problem since I tried searching for online help and found nothing except one other guy but he tried launching the pack with 0.5 gb ram so it is a different issue.
fyi, the first time I downloaded enigmatic skies, the progress bar froze at 100% so I cancelled the download and redownloaded it again. Idk if this would help with anything but might be an important factor yk.
Today I was experimenting with SFM + AE2 + MI, I was trying to export divide crafting resources from one pattern provider across 6 MI compressors. The first problem is that both input and output slots in MI compressors are set to slot 0, therefore I can’t distinguish them using SLOTS syntax. Second problem is the fact that SFM cable (the block, I can’t remember what it’s called) can’t export stuff into MI compressors/MI compressors doesn’t except input from those cable.
The code is pretty simple, I was trying to get the most basic thing to work first but I already run into problems so I ended up here.

- I tried using chest to temporarily store resources from the pattern providers then defined the chest the pattern provider
- I tried each parts of the code, once autoeject is selected in the MI Compressors, the second part (Compressors -> Pattern Provider) works just fine
So I concluded that MI Compressors can’t except input from SFM cables. Is there a way to work around this?
Note that I’m going to host the server on a laptop and play on another pc. The laptop has around 16GB ram and intel core i5-1155G7, it isn’t that strong for playing since it doesn’t have a dedicated gpu, but I’ve heard that gpu isn’t really used as much for hosting. I’m planning on allocating around 12GB to hosting but I’m pretty new to self-hosting, I’m not sure if that would be enough as me and my friends quickly go into tech mods most of the time. I’m considering upgrading the ram but I doubt that’d be necessary. Please educate me on this, thank you.
