NGD & some questions

Hey there. I’ve been haunting this sub for a few years, and I finally bought my first electric: 2003 ASAT Special Tribute!

So excited. But have a few questions. Second pic is of the tone knob. I’m guessing it shouldn’t be elevated like this? Doesn’t seem to push down easily. Is something wrong? Suggested fixes?

Second, the headstock was “modified.” Considering that I’m a PROUD owner of this fine guitar, I’m a little miffed but the price was right. Anything I should be concerned about? It seems well done and solid but what do I know?

Thanks!

Help for high schoolers

Hey folks. I teach English in the USA. Mostly my students have typed their work for the last 8-10 years. But in the last 2-3, AI has become enough of a problem that m, like many of my colleagues, I’m thinking of going back to paper and pencil.

The problem is that about half write so terribly it’s slow and hard to read, and theres usually one or two in each class that are nearly unintelligible. These problems can double or triple my grading time. I can’t afford that with my duties to work and family.

So, I’ve thought about a one week “boot camp” in writing legibly. For the worst, maybe even trying to get them to simply write in all caps.

Would you all have any advice, tips, or resources that might help me? I’ve already thought about providing better pens like having a stockpile of rollerballs. But any other ideas, guidance, etc would be helpful.

Thanks!

Hey folks,

I’m planing on buying an HX stomp(orXL). I play banjo, mandolin, and lap steel and would love for the HX to replace some of my switchers, eqs, etc. I’ve seen the videos where you can use the two stereo inputs to act as two instrument inputs.

Could I also use the fax return as an instrument input if routes correctly in separate preset?
