3 to 2 nap transition

Hey!

LO 7m old on Wednesday!

This week the 3rd and final nap of the day is getting later n later, is this the start of the transition to 2 naps?

Usually wake around 7-7:30am

First nap 9:30 ish - usually for 40-50 mins as i put him in his cot for this nap

2nd nap usually around 1pm - this is a contact nap so can be 1hr to 1.5 (if my tv show is good i let him go to 1.5 🤣🫠)

3rd nap used to be around 4:30-5pm - contact and i cap it to whatever makes it up to 3hrs for total nap time.

However last few days LO has not wanted his 3rd nap til somewhere between 5:30-6:30pm.

We usually do a 8:30-9:30pm bedtime and i have thought about putting his bedtime earlier but anytime iv tried we have a split night.

Any advise if this is the 2 nap transition on how to ease into it as iv heard it can be a messy one

Thanks xx

Wheat allergy

Hi

Yesterday i tried 7m LO on wheatabix and within 5 mins he had a reaction. Red rash and white bumps around the mouth. No other symptoms and rash disappeared within 20 mins. LO was completely himself during the episode.

Iv contacted GP and she obviously advised to avoid all wheat and she is going to refer to peds/allergy team.

My question is - since starting weaning he has had things with wheat in / eg bisto gravy (reduced salt), casserole mix's, a lick of a sandwich.

I also EBF and eat wheatabix every morning around him and I'm assuming some must go through the milk?

Has anyone else had baby react to wheatabix but not food that has wheat flour in?

Iv never had an allergy and neither has my partner luckily so we don't really understand allergies.

Just wondering if wheatabix was maybe too strong? But on the wheat ladder they say to use wheatabix?

We will be following GP advise to remove wheat until we speak to peds/allergy team but my god wheat is in everything it feels!

Thank you

Hey!

Any one else going through really fragmented nights with their 6 month old?

Longest stretch we have had for a few weeks is 2hrs

EBF and nursing to sleep every time and he is taking a full feed it feels!

Do 6 month olds cluster feed?

WW - 2/3/3.5

Bedtime - 8-9pm

3 naps - 1/1.5/1

Also LO really not taking to solids - just blows raspberries 🤣

Thanks
