10 month old sleep suddenly gone to pot

Our 10-month-old suddenly has started waking up 3-5 times a night when previously he was only waking once. Looking for management/schedule advice.

Not looking to sleep train with a method that involves leaving baby to cry. There’s no point anyway as he’s sick every 2 weeks from daycare.

Background:

He is and has always been on the lower end of sleep needs (about 12.5hrs of sleep in 24hrs)

Daycare goes by cues and won’t follow schedule

Sleep at daycare varies from 1.5hrs-2.5hrs

Used to self-settle (no crying method, took months) but that stopped when he started daycare (sickness)

Has been pulling up to stand and crawling for 3 months now so it’s not that

Has just started pointing and waving, loads of babbling

Separation anxiety is strong.

Schedule at home:

Wake 6.30am

Bedtime 7.45pm

Total nap 2hrs

Wake windows 3.25/3.75/4.25

What can we optimise without sleep training?

Sleep at 9 months (when healthy) vs now (when healthy)

Thanks for your help!
