Desktop Shell recommendations?

I am still new to ricing, and I am wanting to use a desktop shell to assist with making my desktop

Something that isn't literally full on programming in a way (like base quickshell) but is still flexable to configure

I am going to be using hyprland on Manjaro btw

Wrist/Palm rests for rhythm gaming

I have been playing games such as itgMania and Quaver on keyboard for little over a year, and I’ve always noticed that my wrists start to feel sore after one or two songs only when I play on an external keyboard. When I am playing on the inbuilt keyboard on my laptop, I don’t have that issue, and I assume that’s because my wrists and palms rest on the laptops palm rest. I’m wondering if you guys have any suggestions of products that can give me the same kind as of support? I’d prefer to keep it under 30-ish CAD. Thanks in advance

What should I name my (hopefully) new laptop?

Ima yap a bit here, if you don’t mind.
For around 3 years now I’ve had a Thinkpad T430 that I was given by my teacher that I named Poteto. Although I had adored it for that time (and still do) but I wanted to upgrade. Considering that I named it after a pun (all I did was combine teto’s last name with potato) I wanted to do something similar for the Framework 13 that I asked for Christmas (yes, really). Since, like the laptop I picked itself, I had been getting really interested in Adachi Rei as a character (slowly, but still) so I wanted to name it after her in a way… but I can’t think of a good name.
TL:DR, I was wondering if you guys had some good names based on Adachi’s, with the vibe of “Poteto” in a way, thanks

I have been using Linux for a bit, and while I enjoy the freedom of the whole ecosystem itself... I don't like my current setup.
As it happens, I should (hopefully) be upgrading my computer to a Framework 13 laptop as a Christmas gift, and I plan to install Arch on it.
But, that's all I have planned (asides from programs...)
To be specific, I have no clue what DE/WM to pick, and I don't want to keep using my current DE, nor switch back to one I used before.
Put it simply, I'd like to hear what you guys, users of the operating system I have yet to fully use, what DE/WM might "fit" me.
Things to keep in mind:

  • I am okay with setting things up myself, so long as I understand how
  • I want to keep using Rofi (or a Wayland fork if necessary) as my app launcher and Kitty as my Terminal. I'll also be sticking by Vivaldi as my Web browser, and Ly as the login manager
  • Customizability is a need. I tend to get really fed up with my Desktop if it does not look just the way I want it.
  • Out of personal preference, no Tiling WM's (although, ones that can be used as a floating wm all the time are fine)
  • XFCE4, KDE Plasma and Budgie are all DE's I have used, and don't want to use again.

Aside from that, I am really all ears to anything! The general idea of this post is that I want to hear a wide range of suggestions (as wide as my silly preferences permit, that is) so suggest away!
*Please don't forget to mention extra software that may be necessary for a full desktop if the WM/DE does not supply it (Like Openbox, for example)
