Story time - Serpent

This game is easily top 3 for me.

I have to share one of my early game experiences back when COVID first hit and the boys were gaming 6 hours a day in the server.

We craft our first boat after hours of cave diving for cores to try and find our first plains biome.

We have researched nothing and have no idea what to expect on the open waters.. if anything.

I randomly throw out the idea of sea monsters as a joke.. not 30 seconds later a Serpent shows up and all of us are hysterical. First because I joked about the thought of open sea threats and second because this thing was scary and we were NOT prepared as far as bows or harpoons go.

One of our members dies in the open sea. Heart broken the team is. Unprepared and regretting our decision to sail.

5 minutes of screaming and members ready to give up losing their loot in the ocean, we take down the beast with our remaining arrows and celebrate our victory!

It was a lesson learned. Laughter followed, emotions of rage, joy, frustration, and relief overcame us all at once.

It sucked us in. We fell in love with Valheim after that and continued on that server for another 400 hours until Covid ended :/ Back to reality.

One of the best months long gaming sessions I’ve ever had with my bros and I will cherish it forever.

Calypso, Pitstain, Tug, Dusky, Dadam and Goose. I hope we never forget the struggles we endured and the bond we created during that crazy time in reality.
