Meyer Lemon Leaf Curl

Most of the leaves on this Meyer lemon look healthy, but there are some near the center of the tree that are VERY curled and yellowy. The tree currently has lots of fruit, gets daily water, and gets partial sun. Zone 8b. Any ideas?

Cascadia name?

I visited Cascadia County Park in Oregon last week. The signage in the park says the name Cascadia originated from a resort built at this location in the late 1800s. The surrounding community also became known as Cascadia. Does anyone know how this name came to be associated with the entire bioregion?

Let’s (re)normalize stopping for red lights

Title pretty much speaks for itself. Whether I’m driving, biking, or on foot, I see drivers zip through reds multiple times a day. Some may think there’s a lag, so it’s no big deal to run it right after it changes, but there is no lag for the walk signal. Yesterday, I stepped off the curb when I got the signal and not one, but TWO cars still went through the intersection. Come on people…just fucking stop. Rant over.

iPhone Weather App?

Does anyone know where the temperature for Portland is measured? I’ve noticed that it is consistently a few degrees cooler than my own outdoor thermometer and local weather station reports. I live in inner NE.
