Pirate Ship and UPS be scamming
I sold a lacrosse helmet and shipped it via pirate ship. Box literally says 12x12x12 on it, but I still measured to be sure. I used my postal scale and all told it was 3lb 14oz. So I entered 3lbs 15oz for the label to be sure. Printed the label and took it to UPS the next day. When I drop it off I set it on the scale while the guy scans it and the scale says 3lb 15oz (he didn't look or care he was just scanning it and giving me a receipt). Today I get an email that UPS says it was 13x13x13 and 14lbs (they said i put 11lbs, but it was just under 4). Now they've charged me an extra $14. I filed a dispute, but it's my word against theirs. I doubt it'll be found in my favor or I'll have any other recourse. As an aside, it was delivered 5 days ago but then they just charged me today.
