Science with Angry Grandpa

Angry Grandpa describing with irrefutable scientific accuracy what happens when you hover your face over a bottle of Diet Coke and dump a handful of mentos into it.

Looking for weapons mods that add a ton of mystical and unique weapons.

Always been a fan of weapons in games that offer something unique and mystical to them. My main draw would be an add on that offers something like mjolnir. Weapons I can throw and call back, weapons that can cast down lightning etc etc.

Really I’m just looking for a ton of supernatural wondrous weapons.

Could the repeating signs from everything must go simply be the backrooms during mid-remembrance.

I was rewatching the movie and this particular part of the scene stuck out to me. Obviously I think this is a showcase of how the backrooms misremembers spaces over and over until it’s nothing but a blank room, but what stood out in particular were these tables and chairs. It’s identical to the signs in everything must go, repeating over and over with roughly the same distance between them only getting smaller as it does, paying no attention to if there’s a wall in the way.

Could it just be that A-Sync caught an area of the backrooms in this stage of misremembering?

Rewatching the opening has honestly opened my eyes to how genius the writing was at showing us the type of people Thor and Odin are.

TLDR: Thor & Odin’s introduction are perfect at showing us the type of characters they are deep down. Thor a polite mannered man whose efforts in trying to be better are showing. And Odin, a rude manipulative bastard who has no respect for people or the place they call home.

I’m just gonna point out the differences in both characters via bullet points to showcase how the writing shows you deep down who these two people are.

-Kratos asks who Thor is, Thor responds by revealing his hammer and thus answering his question. Odin on the other hand immediately asks like the ego maniac he is “Do you know who I am?”

-Thor asks politely if he can come inside Kratos’ home, even offering a gift of mead and only begins to walk inside once Kratos ushers him in. Meanwhile Odin lets himself in as if he owns the place.

-While there’s probably a hint of sarcasm as he looks at the damage he caused, Thor does call Kratos’ home a ‘Nice place’. Sarcasm or not, he’s at least maybe trying in his own way to show his appreciation for Kratos’ home.

-Thor takes his seat after Kratos offers him to come inside. Odin just walks inside and takes a stool and seats himself. Handling someone else’s property and seating himself at the head of the table like it’s his own home.

-Thor presents his weapon on the table as sign of truce. Odin, while not brandishing a weapon, arguably is using the best weapon he has the second he walks in the door, his manipulation.

-Only after realising Kratos does not seek a fight (by setting his axe on the table next to the hammer) does he call the Raven’s over to tell his father the home is safe to come inside. He probably couldn’t give a shit about his father’s safety, but he still does his job in making sure his father isn’t in danger. He even complements Kratos by calling him calm and reasonable.

The subtle differences between father and son in this scene are amazing. You wouldn’t expect a hulking giant like Thor, whose myths and legends are that of a brutal monster, to have polite manners when a guest at someone’s home, but he does. Meanwhile the frail looking old man with a soft voice is the one with absolute zero manners at all. And I don’t think Thor was pretending here, I think his manners were genuine. He’s someone who, during the game, is trying to change for the better, trying to be a good mannered person and not a vicious drunk.

Regarding the ‘Point extraction’ image on Kane’s Ko-Fi account.

Was there ever any context given to this image? This seems like a pretty significant thing Async did given the scale of it.

For the past couple of months, I’ve been putting together a playlist of songs I think would fit into the fallout franchise. What songs would you love to see in the fallout franchise? I’ll give them a listen and add them into the playlist.

As a quick side note. The music could be from any year, just as long as you feel it’s music that fits into fallout. Same thing goes for the genre, I’ve got anything from light 60s rock to 1920s big bass bands, swing, country, blues you name it. And don’t be afraid to give songs from artists already featured in fallout, all I ask is that they aren’t currently in any of the games.

How is it living in Leadville, Colorado.

For context, I’m a fan of the outlast horror game franchise. The first game is set in the fictional Mount Massive asylum, located in the real Mount Massive region. Leadville is mentioned a couple of times in the game through character dialogue and written text, with it being the closest city to the area. Always been curious about life in this area, bonus points if anyone has been to Mount massive.
