Update 5 months on

Some background - I measured around 0.150 free test back in January 2025 and normal test at around 6. I didn’t want to do TRT as I knew I was out of shape and had been neglecting myself as a parent and a shift worker. Essentially, I wanted to make the changes myself before looking elsewhere, especially when I was going to have to commit to a lifelong solution. I dropped around 12-15kg over a year and my levels doubled.

Great progress, I thought.

Now, having a better testosterone base, I thought I should aim to gain some muscle to increase my metabolic standpoint. I gained around 2-3kg of muscle over a few of months and around 1-2kg of body fat. I got another test done in March 2026 and the levels hadn’t changed. At testosterone levels of 15 and free test of .340 I was hardly firing on all cylinders, so I looked to TRT. I spent ages worrying about going bald, getting acne, mini-balls and gyno.

Over time, I found a clinic, which I won’t share, because I’m not sure that I’m allowed to, but they have been brilliant!

Weeks 1-4 - increased mood, more energy and increase in libido.

Weeks 5-8 - strength was up, body fat was down and the mood/energy was up again, but not as significant a jump as the first 4 weeks.

Week 9 - 15 - I’d say it’s been incredible in comparison, I was prescribed 0.3mg twice per week (120mg) as I use Cypionate 2000mg/10ml. I chose to split that in to 3 injections of 0.2 to try and keep it more level and less fluctuations. I’m a police officer, I work on response, my standard shift is typically entering a chaotic situation and trying to fix it. I’m so much calmer now, more able to rationalise and have clearer thinking.

Week 16 onwards - the next test will tell but I think my levels are starting to stabilise and I’m sure I’ll see a more rounded and balanced profile on the next one.

I have not experienced gyno, balding, acne, (balls have shrunk by about 30%, which I’m ok with) although I accept it’s still early days.

I’m due another blood test next month but I’ll share what I got back after the initial 11 weeks and then once I’m done with the next one, I’ll add that on.

Oestradiol - 114
Free testosterone- 0.790
Testosterone - 30.5

It’s definitely changed my life. I’m less of a grump, energy is much better, I’m just generally more positive. Work is not stressful so I actually quite enjoy it. It certainly helps being fitter and stronger too

Good evening all,

I’ve come from very low T, levels around 6.2 and managed to naturally increase these to 15ish, by dropping body fat, and generally looking after myself better. This took me about 6 months to achieve, I’m now 12 months further down the line and levels are still the same. I’m still weight training and eating/sleeping better and was disappointed when my levels hadn’t got any better after so long given the initial increase. (Have I reached my personal ceiling, if that’s such a thing?)

I have symptoms of low Testosterone, but at circa 15, I’m overlooked by every company I’ve spoken to. I don’t want to do it without proper monitoring, and to be honest, I didn’t want to do it at all, hence me taking 18 months to get to this point after trying to self correct.

Is there any companies in the Uk that would take me on at 15.7 and free test around .320? I’m 37, if that makes any difference.
