Im a second year uni student from the Philippines (Civil Engineering - 4 year program). Im planning to apply for the NORISK program. I need tips guys on how I can increase my chances while im still studying and I also have questions below. Please help a future EMJM scholar out. My profile/plan:

1. I plan to apply for another voluntary internship next summer (i just finished my first internship - 120 hours at a government agency for Infrastructure). So When I graduate i have 2 voluntary internships + 1 official school sanctioned internship (3 total)

2. We have an undergraduate thesis that is required for us to graduate (so I plan to relate it to the program im going to apply for) I plan to publish it.

3. Im also signing up for my school’s research society (American Concrete Institute) and it requires us to finish/publish a research paper/thesis. (So maybe i have around 2 or 3 thesis in my CV once i graduate)

4. I currently am a minor officer (committee member right now) in my org and I want to know if i should just skip vetting / working for executive positions in this org and focus on my research society instead..

Questions:

1. Will I be able to have a fighting chance or is it better to find a job first and get experience?

2. What other things can I add to my CV to make it stronger?

3. Does having a doctorate graduate/ phd in my reference letters have more bearing? (i will try to find professors that have it then)

meron ba kayong kilalang nag voluntary internship aside from their required OJT? Is that possible na magka more than one experience aside from OJT as a student? I have some questions lang hehe as an incoming second year pa

1. How did you apply? (IK need talaga ng backer for this path if ever haha, pero fr i want to know if meron bang nag apply na from scratch talaga ng voluntary internship)

Hi everyone! Seeking advice from current scholars or anyone who went through a similar situation.
For context:

1. Im an incoming second year student
2. I got awarded a scholarship from my LGU (10,000php per sem)
3. LGU is currently asking for a Certificate of Non-Availment for SY 2026–2027 (1st sem)
4. Im aiming to take DOST JLSS next year!

My questions:

1. Can I still APPLY for DOST JLSS next year while holding an active LGU scholarship? (or do i have to terminate it before applying?)
2. Does having an active LGU financial assistance grant disqualify me during the application/testing stage?
3. Has anyone here held a local LGU scholarship first and successfully applied for/transitioned to DOST JLSS? (and can you have both at the same time?)

Hello po, congrats on finishing the exam guys🥹 i would like to ask questions and tips regarding the exam..

1. Firstly is everyone taking the same exam? i heard it depends on your course? (I read that CE and other engineering tracks have a different power test that includes an Engineering Section, but i saw a post earlier that said they were a CE student and said the science portion was hard?)

2. How many items / minutes po ba ang different portions sa exam, when I researched it gave me different answers.

3. Tips please, what to look out for

Hi Engrs! I am currently a 1st-year BSCE student. I know it is early, but I want to start mastering industry standard software outside of my class hours.

Right now, I am deciding between specializing in Structural Engineering or Construction Management. To be completely honest, my main goal is to maximize my earning potential post-graduation hehe.

Is this a form of Phishing? I JUST LOST MY PHONE a day before yesterday (at night) and my friends are getting these messages. I told them off and not to put their passwords on this link muna. And on my Find My, my phone still is "Offline" and "No location found" so its really suspicious that it has been found. It does look legit because of the chat history, its from the same Apple who sent OTPs months ago
