Quince flamenco dupe first impressions

(Please tell me why I made my first post here a couple weeks ago wanting advice for my first nicer bag and now I have a long list of bags I want to get! New hobby unlocked lol!)

When I first saw the Flamenco I wasn't that impressed but it slowly grew on me and now I think it's so cute!! The first bag I got was black so now I want something in the tan or cognac family. Surprisingly my husband was on board with an expensive bag so I went into Loewe to see them and was surprised I didn't like Warm Desert as much as I thought. Was a little too light/yellow toned for me and I didn't like the black edging. Sand was a pass too, didn't look good with my skin tone. That left Squirrel which I think I like the best but it somehow felt a bit too warm/orange and I would've preferred for it to be just a touch more of a neutral brown. And not to split hairs but I also don't prefer the logo/hardware being silver. For such an expensive bag those things gave me pause.

Came across the Quince dupe and decided to order not expecting much but I actually really like it and it might scratch the itch for now.

Pros for me:
Gold hardware, real leather, no logos, interior pockets, good brown color, no black edging, smaller little knot things, the price was very affordable ($122)

Cons for me:
It's a little bit smaller than the medium Flamenco and it could be roomier. Filling it up makes it harder to cinch and close. Strap is weirdly long, I would only use it on the shortest setting and I'm tall. Leather is not as soft and smushy of course.

First pic: Loewe L-R, mini squirrel, mini warm desert, medium sand
Second and third pics: Quince Italian Leather Drawstring Pouch Crossbody
Fourth pic: crossbody with the strap on the shortest setting (I am 5'8")
Fifth pic: shoulder carry with the strap on the shortest setting
Sixth pic: crossbody with the strap on the longest setting. Looks absurd and I am tall so why did they make the strap so long?!
Seventh pic: Interior (one open pocket, one zipper pocket)

Shipping times

On the website it specifically said now shipping from within the US. But when I got my tracking info it was shipping from Great Britain. Is this where others have had their bags ship from? I paid $20 for expedited shipping and was really hoping it'd be here in time for a wedding this weekend/Mother's Day. Seems like shipping internationally is going to increase the timeline.

I am a mom of three kids. My current everyday bags are a diaper bag backpack, and I keep my personal essentials in a belt bag that I grab when I'm going somewhere without the kids. I'm looking to upgrade to something nicer for when I'm away from the kids. Could be anything from running errands on my own, to date night, to going out with friends. So I guess something that can be dressed up or down.

Here's what I'm looking for:

-a medium sized bag under 1k (maybe more like under $800.) I am looking for a shoulder bag specifically in a hobo style.

- I like a soft slouchy look but want it to be able to stand upright if I set it down.

-I'm a little boring with colors, I only want black or a neutral brown. Only want leather.

- I like gold hardware and I like when the hardware gives the bag a little extra pizazz but nothing super flashy.

- I prefer a zipper but have noticed several of the bags I like don't have one so idk if I should be a stickler on that...I've never had a bag that doesn't zip though!

Photo 1 are the bags I am considering. (I haven't seen any in person though.) Photo 2 are the bags I liked but ruled out for one reason or another.

**Would love to hear if there's anything else similar I'm overlooking or any opinions on the bags or brands I'm considering!**

  1. Strathberry Kite Hobo: this is the first bag in my search where the photo made my heart sing (this sounds so cheesy.) I really love it except for the lack of a main zipper and the lack of an interior zippered pouch. (I know there's a removable one but not the same in my book.) Hesitant to pull the trigger because I don't want to regret having only one big pouch that sort of gapes open.

  2. Strathberry Lana: this is the first Strathberry I saw before I came across the Kite. I still like it but I think not as much as the Kite. It does have an interior zipper pocket though which is a plus.

  3. Coach Brooklyn 28: like this, but again lack of a zipper.

  4. Mansur Gavriel Candy Hobo: this is pretty and like that it zips. I could get on board but somehow it feels a little boring? I wish there was some more prominent gold hardware besides just the zipper.

  5. Hobo Harley: is Hobo a quality brand? I'd never heard of it but the pics came up on Google and I do like the look of some of their stuff. This one zips and I like the slouch.

  6. Hobo Ranya: no zipper on this one. I kinda like the two tone black/brown but is it too structured?

  7. Cuyana Celestia: ruled out because the smaller size looks too crescent-y for me and the larger bag seems too big.

  8. Furla Lara: similar to #5 but I think I like it less due to the asymmetrical hardware.

  9. Vestirisi Harper: interesting concept having 2 straps but the short feels like it might be too short and I'm not really looking for a crossbody.

  10. Chloe Marcie: so gorgeous but obviously out of my price range.
