The final season of "The Boys" is fine

Spoilers

I get people are wired now to think that everything made is actually terrible. Unless of course it's amazing in which case it's literally the best thing that's ever happened. However I would argue that the Boys falls into a middle ground of being "pretty good".

Is the final season the best of the show? No, but is it the worst the show has ever been? Fuck no.

Season four sucked, if nothing else it was just incredibly boring. At least season 5 is interesting episode for episode. People are shitting on the side stuff that isnt just about homelander or butcher, but I really liked the Firecracker/Deep/Noir stuff. Yeah you could cut it out and have the entire season be shorter but I think you'd be cutting out stuff thats interesting to watch. I'm sure there's also some meta commentary on how facism is a self destructive ideology in those parts but I dont know enough about that to explain it.

I liked the "Homelander thinks he's God thing", it's honestly felt like the logical endpoint for a guy with his big an ego and the powers he has. Yeah the show is popping shots at contemporary stuff but the show has always done this, theyre just a bit more obvious about it now.

Finally, the ending in the comics is just awful. I can't really be bothered to explain it, but you can just look it up. Either way it's a total "what was the fucking point of that". This show did not leave me thinking that. To be able to make something basically from scratch and have it not suck must have been difficult but the writers in fairness did pull it off.

Overall it was fine
