Holy fuck this game is brutal towards solos
And not even in a "It's difficult" way. It deliberately fucks you over, doesn't it? Or was I particularly unlucky?
Had to do laundry so played solo so I could pause. Point Extraction, Haz 3 because that's easy enough and Bosco can do most of the aquarq mining. Glacial Strata, no modifiers.
The moment I step out of the drop pod, Surveyor Nemesis grabs me and holds me while the electric jellyfish fry me. Death one.
First swarm starts. A Dreadnought and a Bulk Detonator spawn. Bulk clips me on death because of the deep snow slowing me down. Death two.
Mining at the top of the cave, top tier if you imagine the cave system like an inverted 3-tier cake. Earthquake happens (I either didn't know or forgot that could happen in Glacial Strata) and the ground splits right out from underneath me and drops me directly on top of the minehead. Death three.
I made it through because of the shock overclock for sentry and platforms that the Engineer's voltaic SMG has. The entire cave was tiled with platforms so I can stay above the deep snow and to electrocute the platforms with my SMG to do extreme damage to the mobs. Also Steeve doing extra damage. Fucking hell.
Still got 20 mins left on laundry so I might have time to run another one.
